Would be nice to have a little box in the setup screen that gives an ideal carcass temp/pressure window for the selected tyres.
In real life manufacturers give some ideal operating temps/pressures for various conditions. But really just a small setup window tip that says "Ideal internal operating range: 75°-90°C 29psi" or whatever, that changes with different compounds.
I feel like I can't trust the tyre widget, the number of times it's been light-ish green and the tyres go completely off.

Edit: Also a readout of how much graining is on the tyres would be handy too. Just a simple "Low/Mid/High graining" would suffice. Because currently there's no way of telling other than visually.

Having done a number of endurance races I think that the GT3 Gen2 cars are fairly well balanced.
I normally drive the Lambo which is one of the faster cars but drinks more fuel, so after pit stops it does balanced. The problem is that you need to do proto typical race lengths with fuel set to normal consumption otherwise it will mess the balance up.
There is also the fact that some cars are better suited to some tracks than others. The Lambo shines on the tracks that have long sections of full speed but struggles on the twistier tracks.

I think the ability to change controls sets while in a multiplayer lobby would be excellent. I think i've suggested this 3 times now but still worth posting for visibility.
It's annoying having out of the lobby to change control sets if you're swapping from your round wheel to a GT wheel, etc.

    -----

I think a minor but useful UI change / behaviour change, when you try to join a multiplayer lobby and it's full (for example) or you can't join due to missing DLC, when you hit ok, it boots you back to the main menu instead of back into Multiplayer. A small flaw that could be fixed easily, imo.

    Dear Reiza Team,

First of all, I would like to thank every single person at Reiza Studios for creating what has become a favorite racing simulator.

I have been sim racing for a year now and have spent countless hours in different titles, but Automobilista 2 is the one I always come back to. The driving experience, force feedback, weather system, track selection, engine sounds and the passion you continue to put into the project make AMS2 something truly special. It deserves every bit of success it has achieved, and I sincerely hope it will continue to grow for many years.

With that in mind, I would like to share a few suggestions that I believe would help preserve the long-term enjoyment and health of the multiplayer community.

    1. Please fix the “invisible players” issue in multiplayer.

This is, in my opinion, one of the most important remaining multiplayer problems.

It can happen that players who join the server after you have entered the session simply do not appear on track until you return to the pit lane. This is especially frustrating on Nordschleife track day servers, where long uninterrupted stints are common. It breaks immersion and can create confusion or even dangerous situations when cars suddenly appear after a pit stop.

If there is one multiplayer issue I would prioritize, it would be this one.

    2. Allow players to mark servers as Favorites.

AMS2 now has many excellent community servers, but finding the same ones every day can become unnecessarily time-consuming.

A simple “Favorite Server” function with a dedicated filter in the server browser would make it much easier to reconnect to the communities we enjoy racing with. It is a small quality-of-life feature that could make multiplayer feel much more accessible.

    3. Please consider a JGTC / Super GT Legends Car Pack.

This is more of a personal wish than a feature request, but I believe many sim racers would be excited about it.

The golden era of Japanese GT racing produced some of the most iconic racing cars ever built. A JGTC pack featuring legends from manufacturers such as Nissan, Toyota and Honda would perfectly complement AMS2’s already fantastic historic content and would introduce another unique era of motorsport that is underrepresented in modern simulators.

Finally, I simply want to say thank you.

It is obvious that Automobilista 2 is a project built with passion, and as someone who spends countless hours on the Nordschleife, I genuinely appreciate the work that goes into every update.

I hope AMS2 continues to evolve for many years to come, and I sincerely believe that improvements like these would make an already outstanding simulator even stronger.

If Automobilista 2 has taught me one thing, it is that a racing simulator can still be built with passion. I truly hope AMS2 continues to inspire sim racers for many years to come.

Thank you for listening, and thank you for everything you do.

    Kind regards,
A passionate AMS2 racer who loves it af

Hi Reiza Stuios, and Automobilista community!
Turn 8 on the current layout of the Adelaide Street circuit is a very fast, dangerous, and narrow corner. In real life, Motorsport Australia has implemented a special rule for that corner stating that NO overtakes under any circumstances are permitted, and that the car that is infront 200 meters (I think) before the corner has priority and the trailing car MUST backoff. The reason that I bring this up is that in Automobilista 2, this rule does not exist and has ruined several of my races because cars are trying to over take or I'm being lapped by a faster class, resulting in me usually having a totalled car. If its possible, can this rule be implemented within the next update or hotfix?

    From Declan =)

Can we have a unified "save" button.
I can't use a mouse on my rig. I can't because it has motion, so I control the entire game menu via a small macro keypad next to the wheelbase using the games shortcuts. There are currently 3x different save buttons which depend on what menu you're in.

[Enter] saves / starts race in most instances when focussed on the correct icon. But can't move to certain menu positions with cursor keys control.

[Esc/Del] backs out of current menu page and saves in most menus. But it doesn't save in race time/weather menu. It doesn't save in AI and car setup menu. It doesn't save in Livery menu.

[Right Shift] Is quick-start race. It negates having to move the cursor to the START button. It is also the only button which saves in the Race time setup, Car Livery and AI setup menu.

If you make changes in weather/car/ai setup menu and click the incorrect save button then you just back out the menu without any changes being applied.

    Can you sort this please.

I think this is very basic, but I also think it is missing. White flag signaling the start of the last lap. Especially in timed races you never know if its the last lap or not depending on when the leader crossed the line.

Dear Reiza thanks for this amazing Sim, could we please have:
    1. an option to set z-axis of menus board in VR to set it further back
    2. hide the menus board while on grid waiting for race to start in multiplayer

A way to either choose if we want a car to have endurance lights or for the game to detect if an event will take place in the dark or not so we can automatically get endurance lights or not. Will make liveries match more series since some don’t even do endurance (DTM is a good example)

It would be exciting to introduce an additional weather slot.
What I have in mind hasn't been considered by any simulation so far. It’s about "fake rain."

The exciting thing about rain is seeing those first few drops on your skin or the windshield. You find yourself wondering: Is it about to rain? Will it be heavy? Will it be brief or prolonged? Everything is uncertain.

In simulations, however, the icons tell you exactly what to expect next. Unfortunately, that makes it far too predictable. In real life, it is almost impossible to accurately predict the weather when it comes to rain.

The HUD might indicate "light rain" as the upcoming weather slot, but the "fake rain" could manifest as just a few scattered drops—sometimes more, sometimes fewer—before tapering off again. It might be a small feature, but it would elevate the concept of rain probability to a whole new level.

Yes , sometimes called "psychological rain" as it doesn't really affect car performance as much as driver performance.

Yes, exactly. That describes it perfectly.
It might not sound all that exciting, but in a scenario where it actually rains and then stops, a spell of "fake rain" in between could lead to the wrong decision to pit for a tire change.

At the moment, we know exactly what will happen.

Would be great to have an option in the force feedback menu to reload a custom ffb file. That way, we can change custom ffb files without having to restart ams2.

Or have a set folder for all the custom FFB files and just allow us to scroll through them all

    Speaking of rain...
We urgently need an optional red flag feature. Some situations are completely undriveable.

In real life, a race would be paused or stopped with a red flag. In sim racing, it turns into an action-adventure game.
