The Feature Request Thread...

Adding an audio chat feature to the servers would be cool ,,,be nice to have some chit chat going on during the race .

 

The idea is to set 'Menu spring strength' high/full so that the wheel will not move at all while...in the menu's.

 

I don't recommend turning up the menu spring strength. There may still be an issue where that can go full lock suddenly. Set it to a low number, just enough to avoid scrolling issues.

 

Indeed, I actually leave mine at the default come to think of it, and never have the wheel turn/cause scrolling etc. The default seems enough to keep my wheel strongly centered. I was over compensating for the guys here, exaggerating to make the point of the setting I suppose.

There was a little fix in the latest updates that I think could lead to a great feature what do you think?

 

For the oncoming custom championship mode could I recommend to have limited number of tyres and chosing a set of them before the next race. Maybe this would be a hybrid of motorsports simulator simulator and Wrc8 career mode.

 

I do not know if this was mentioned but Glickenhaus-SCG-007-LMH-1 car would be a spectacular addition to AMS2, fast, beautiful and modern.

 

I would love the replay functionality to be expanded a bit more:
- Ability to click on the timeline to jump to a specific point in time.
- Give the drone shots their own buttons with description. Currently "-" on numeric keyboard and have to step through all before reaching the ones you want. This together with first point makes creating movie clips for online use pretty cumbersome.
- Fix bug that saves replay on opening when already saved before.
- Show at what speed things are playing (currently no visual feedback).
- Ability to step frame by frame.

Also, some broadcasting tools would be nice.

Request Title: Driver animations.
Description: Currently the drivers sit still like stone. It looks fake, especially in open-wheel cars when watching race replays. Make the drivers shake like hell and move their head a lot during taking corners, because that's how it looks in reality.
Benefits: It will greatly improve realism of the game, boost the immersion, and make the online streaming of multiplayer games look a lot more realistic and engaging.

 

Can't say I've ever seen race car drivers shaking about,they are strapped in so tight that they don't move, only their head does.

 

Change the non-collision system in the pit lane.
Totally ruins the realism being able to drive through an opponent just because you are in the pit lane.
Never understood the logic in PC2.

Option to have multiple ffb profiles available rather than just default or custom.

Ability to vote through an online session to move to the next, or restart a session.

 

For screenshots shutter times of 1/10s, 1/2s, 1s and maybe more than 1s for some more spectacular night pictures

 

Marshalls, flags and a safety car. If rfactor can do it...

Yes, a leaderboard that we can view online would be great.

Is there a way to display data from the telemetry hud of the moment you leave the track on setup screens in the box? Especially tire temperature and pressure?

 

With SimHub you can display a lot, I have created an overlay with which I can display the tire temperature in degrees Celsius and the condition in%.

 

Custom championship tool with:
1) changeable AI names
2) changeable individual AI strength (per driver)
3) no limit on track selection
4) assigning of AI to a specific car

 

Will you be willing to share that SimHub overlay?
