Hi! i've been speaking with some of you directly, but I'm finally in a position to share something I've been working on for a while that I think will interest you :)

it is yet another "carreer mode companion app" (they've been popping up few of these in the last few weeks!) but entirely focused on historic f1 content.

I've always admired the work a lot of you did to cover as many f1 seasons as possible on AMS2 but i've always wondered: "wouldn't that be cool to have a way to "connect" all these seasons to make a cohesive carreer?"

and here it comes: "Rewind GP" :)
    Screenshot 2026-01-14 015710.png Screenshot 2026-01-14 015738.png Screenshot 2026-01-14 015807.png Screenshot 2026-01-14 015917.png Screenshot 2026-01-14 015940.png Screenshot 2026-01-14 020057.png Screenshot 2026-01-14 020151.png Screenshot 2026-01-14 020213.png

with this app you can create a carreer that spans multiple f1 season. for those who are wondering "why the fake names?" that's because they are placeholders, but the app is completely customizable and also the available f1 season mods could be adapted to make it work and replace the fake names and liveries with the actual ones (i'll provide a tool to help with conversion)

the app currently will only include this "fake 1996 season" that repeats itself over and over, but the app could be expanded and new seasons can be installed, both in the past and in the present.

    ss012642.jpg ss013117.jpg ss013146.jpg

I so far converted the seasons 96, 97 and 98 based on the wonderful work of the immersion moddin group, AFry, LadyCrousette etc.. but i'm not allowed to share these until i got permission from the creators.

Nice features include driver market between seasons based on reputation and age (it becomes more difficult to be hired by top teams as you age) and DYNAMIC LIVERIES AND HELMETS: the world champion will have the car n.1 no matter which team joins, and if the champion retires number 0 will be available! also, the helmet for each driver will have that specific team's sponsor!

this is how it will appear with the official cars (i've swapped around drivers to show how the helmets adapt to the teams and the liveries chaning numbers:

I'm planning to release the app entirely for free on overtake in the next few days.

Over the past few weeks I've been working on this little thing - my aim is to bring a full round-by-round, as accurate as possible livery set for the 1994 F1 Season onto the Formula V12.

My sources are currently the 1994 F1 mod for rFactor (which, admittedly, isn't the most accurate as far as liveries go) and whatever acceptable photos Google spits out at me.

My current progress is as follows: Cars 0, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, 8 are done round-by-round. Cars 0, 2 (all three drivers) have their helmets. Suits and gloves I haven't even looked at yet. TL;DR: I'm now starting to work on the Footwork livery. Surely can't be that hard, can it? :p

I hope to eventually be able to publish this, although I'm afraid it'd take quite a while since this is my first ever dive into AMS2 modding and there are a lot of things I've not figured out yet. Hopefully my (very limited) Photoshop skills end up being acceptable! o_O

This is nice, and a need for the community I think. But now I wonder about the car....

Little update on my progress with this one. Cars 9, 10 (Footwork), 11, 12 (Lotus), 14, 15 (Jordan) and 19, 20 (Larrousse) are done. In total, I count something like 170 livery files in my WIP folder for a total of nearly 6 GB of textures. 6 teams to go, starting with the Minardis and (eventually) finishing up with the Pacifics.

As before, I'm only showing one car per team (except for when the paint scheme changed "significantly" during the season) but, as it turns out, for most teams, their liveries change almost on a race-by-race basis!

However, I'm personally at a bit of a crossroads. The 1994 Season package for RewindGP was released recently, which puts 1994 liveries on the Formula V12. Granted, they're based on an older skin pack, but they look pretty good and, from what I've seen, pretty similar to what I've been cooking up. I'm not entirely sure whether or not I should keep working on it since, at the pace I'm painting the cars at, I'd be joining the party pretty late if at all (given Helmets, Suits and Driver AI are still untouched) - or if I could even just make a new thread to showcase my progress as it happens. Choices, choices...

Anyway, Happy Aussie GP weekend everyone!

Hi all, I wanted to give you a little glimpse into something I am working on, a very easy to use livery manager for AMS2.

To cover that first: This is not supposed to deliver the functionality of tons of way more complex tools that are already in the works by other creators that might do somewhat similiar things too. This is supposed to be a very simple "What you see is what you get" way to manage all your liveries in a modern visual presentation.

With the increasing amount of great liveries in the community but limited livery slot in AMS2 it becomes complex to track and manage what you want to have ingame, meanwhile modyfing the XMLs every time you want to change cars is not as user friendly, so this will try to solve this issue. This also aims to fix credit issues when liveries of creators are bundled, sometimes even without their knowledge or even approval, by being able to add new tags to liveries for proper credit of installed content.

So my livery manager is supposed to end of all this complexity that comes with all of that. So what does Livery Manager do at the moment:
    • Import: Install Liveries from your AMS2 or zip files (including AI names when set proper custom ai XML file is in placed AMS2 or the zip file), all by simple button presses. It also is smart enough to recognize when you install dublicates and only imports new liveries or newer version.
    • Manage: Customize the ingame Name and AI name of each livery. Addtional tool releated fields like Livery Name, Author, an Author Image and a version number makes the management easier. A creator can add addtional XML tags to their livery to deliver these informations themselves, but you can add them manually too (for whole imports and each livery by itself).
    • Easy to Select: You see the original livery selection of each car with preview images, you can mix and match all your favorite liveries how you want it and see excatly with livery you overwrite. Small icons will display addtional details like included driver suits or AI names of a livery.
    • One Click Installation: By a simple click of a button it will install your selection into AMS2.
    • Presets: You can save your selections in presets, so you can switch between your favorites easily. You can also share your presets easily with others as JSON files, so no more need of repacking livery files of others.
Hopefully this can launch shortly after my 2026 IMSA GT3 bundle is done. There is still work to do, especially making it work for every single class and their respective unique xml entries, and I of course have a few more ideas I want to include.

So here are the first screenshots, have in mind this is early Work in Progress but everything you see here is already fully functional. I added my IMSA 2025 & 2026 and ChirinRacings amazing LeMans 2025 Package into the tool as a showcase for the screenshots.

Rocky's CM is now finished. It is released to Alpha for 1.5 weeks, then Beta in 2 weeks, then release.
