LMU receives new input. 4 DLCs over the following months.

First will be released today with Imola, the new 2024 Peugeot 9X8 and Lamborghini SC63. Jumping in this today.

 

Selling DLC already? Wow I must log in again because they must have added VR natively now if they are selling DLC for a game that was missing some very basic sim features.
I bought day one to show support but seen nothing of that money, well less than 2 hours of set up time wasted.

 

Others are naming their sim V1.0 and the physics are far from solid or on a maturity level...

Quite good, as expected.

Not the biggest fan of Imola, it's not that I do not like it at all but the track is not fitting ideal to the WEC. But it's fun though and you need to do a few laps to get heat into the tires.
Track details are awesome once again.s

No...this one is laserscanned and made from scratches.

 

I still don‘t know if I pull the trigger on the LMU DLC/Seasonpass.
Yes, the content is nice and the Tracks are really good, but I can‘t figure out how to drive the Hypercars in LMU. I can‘t brake with them (I‘m way to early & slow with the braking or the tires are locking up & I‘m spinning around) and I can‘t get heat into the tires. I can do 5 to 6 laps and still have low 50 temperatures. Maybe someone here got some advice for that?

Anyway, I already got a very beautiful version of Imola in AMS2, I got Hypercars, and there are some new Hypercars and GT3 cars coming. So maybe it is time to focus only on one sim.

 

Although I spend most of my time in AMS2, I will buy the season pass for LMU to support S397 as they really need it to keep going. S397 is doing a great job overall, even if nothing is ever perfect. Comparing identical cars in both games on the same track is interesting. And even more interesting as v1.6 approaches.

 

I assume the LMU laserscan will omit the errors found in the AMS2 version of Imola; i.e., the two Rivazza corners, the Variante Alta, and Variante Bassa, which are all a bit tighter than they should be.

I seem to recall that Renato had previously mentioned there were, in fact, a few errors (as described above) in the "old" Imola mesh that Reiza had used when creating the AMS2 version of Imola. The GP circuit has been 4.909 km since 2008; kerbs and run-off areas may have changed over the years, but I don't think any of the corners at Imola have seen a significant reshaping over that period (other than adding the T21/22 Moto chicane in 2009).

 

I haven't really kept up with LMU that much as I wasn't overly blown away when I bought it, is it out of early access and into full release version now?
