Well if time has run out, they might as well cancel this update and let everyone wait until 1.7... :p

Reiza time is fine, but a little sitrep when the dates can't be met would be much appreciated, especially for long awaited content like this. I don't think staying silent is the best idea. The community has waited long enough.

Are you sure about that? I've read that post a couple times now, but the only thing coming close to a timeframe was for the 1.7 release in Q3 of 2026

Not in this thread. There's one where Renato talked about version numbers.

Ah ok, so the last update/patch after endurance update has been 11 days ago, generally that's when they consider a cycle as finished, so that would leave them with a couple more days, however any timeframe Reiza communicates isn't a solid deadline, more something they are aiming for.

Nagging them about what some describe a missed release date isn't gonna make the update come out sooner, it's not like there isn't any content at all in this game or others out there for that matter, so i'm sure people can find other things to do until an update is actually released...

It will never happen, not after the 1.6 update delays. Why are you waiting ? Do something else in your day and keep yourself busy instead of chasing a game update.

Yeah come on guys, the game is fun and has plenty of content. If you spend all your time waiting for the next patch you're never going to be able to enjoy the game.

Now, in terms of Reiza/Renato announcing patch dates, the reason they're saying less now is because in the past they were saying more and trying to give a firmer timeline, then failing to meet their self-imposed deadlines and people would get mad. So Renato said something along the lines of "We're not going to do that anymore, we'll give a bit less information because that way people won't get so upset if we're late" (I'm paraphrasing big time here so please don't take that as verbatim).

And you know what? That's ok. Go outside and touch grass. There's a million other things you can be doing with your time :) I've got so many hobbies and other things going on I haven't even played AMS2 for two weeks, and I haven't run a proper race in at least 2-3 months.

I know this post will be moved somewhere. But if Simioni, after the GT1 update, said that the Formula update would be released within a week or two, I don't understand this delay.

you are reasonably new here, you will understand soon enough i'm sure, but constantly nagging about it gets old fast

When Reiza says that there is gonna be "one week or two", "one or two months", "Q2 or Q3".

It's NEVER the first option. I repeat. NE-VER.

Best case scenario is one week after the second option. More like one week and half. That's again in best case scenario.

Sono una persona puntuale e amo la puntualità. SeI'm a punctual person and I love being punctual. If it's not there, it needs to be explained or better communication is needed. This isn't good. I paid for the game and bought all the DLC.

As I said, I paid for the game, placed my trust in Reiza, and supported the studio by purchasing almost all of its wonderful DLCs. However, I believe that a serious software company, if it sets deadlines, should either meet them or explain the delay and keep users updated on the progress of the work.

I bought the game this year and it positively surprised me. But I do not think I will continue supporting it if things remain this way in terms of communication. It is a matter of respect.

If you set the deadline for version 1.7 within the third quarter and it ends up arriving at the end of the year, I find that unacceptable. It is a matter of respect toward THE CUSTOMER.

Maybe its better for you to move on from AMS2 then, because most likely this is not changing, you are set for disappointment. If only game development, or many other types of work were a magic thing where everything go according to planned and there are no delays or change of plans ever.
