Time Trial of the Week

I know the FOV calculator thing is for immersion (and I use it as a starting point too since I'm single monitor as well) but why not bring your FOV out for the karts? Not being sick would be more important than immersion on one little vehicle. They are super fun!

 

I used to have sickness with karts before. Now I don't. Not sure if I just got used to it, or if drastically reducing head movement helped with it. The latter would be weird, because it's difficult to imagine how that large amount of camera shakiness (following chassis' movement) would make your body less prone to being sick, but maybe there's a relation there.

By the way, I have always stuck with realistic FOVs (30) and single 32' monitor as close as possible to me.

 

Dropped the downforce and softened the springs slightly because Montreal means attacking kerbs and managed to put in a 1:15.6 fairly easily. If you're familiar with the Freiza (which I'm not) it shouldn't be too hard to go sub 1:14.

For reference the fastest real world qualifying lap in the modern V8 era was a 1:13.0

 

0%. But like Ernie and Polo said, I think it was simply too twisty for me.

 

What would you guys think about a weekly TT of the Week Race? I'm thinking of hosting a weekly Race with the same combo as the TT of the Week on www.ams-league.com. So Heitor and Tim could ones battle it out one against one..instead only in TT

If interested, what day/time would suit most? Let me know.

 

We were doing that for a bit, running the TT of the Week track and car combo. Maybe we should do it again

 

Well next week is probably going to be Stock Car @ Goiania (2017 season hype!) which is one of the most fun combos in the game.

 

We're gonna get one of the official servers set to the time trial of the week combination. So feel free to organize yourselves to be on that at a certain time.

 

I'm so slow in formula cars. I don't understand. It's sad.

I should've been playing Formula Reiza all this time instead of trying to wrangle the Extreme beast.

Good to see iRacing World Champ and Visa Vegas Qualy Winner Graham Carroll is having fun with AMS.

 

Oh, I was upset for being beaten by an unknown guy... Now I think I am the unknown guy, and I'm not even upset anymore.

@Heitor - From where in Brazil are you? Going to Brazil on Thursday for a 3 weeks holiday. Ihuuuu

 

Back down to Earth this week. All is right in the world. 5+ seconds off the pace like I should be.

 

Now we need only this to be happy!
