Troubleshooting - Automobilista 2

I've had two minor issues.
My grid size is still limited to 32 even tho i have 16GBs of RAM.
Sound issues Audi R8 GT3 EVO II, if i look backwards from cockpit view i get the engine sound in only my right headphone and i get random fuel pump sound (like on engine start) while driving. The fuel pump sound also happens on the Huracan GT3.

Love the update so far keep it up

 

Please make sure your Automobilista 2 folder in My Documents and files inside it are NOT "Read-Only". (Right click on folder/files- Properties - "Read-Only" must be unchecked)

 

This fixed my inability to get the update. Thanks so much!

 

It turns out I needed to make sure the Automobilista2 folder (and the ones inside it) of My Documents were not read only, which they were. Thanks to mata7700 for pointing me to kivipallur1's response to another problem with the same solution!

 

I also have the problem that the the interior cockpit sound is either way too low or completely inaudible. ( P.S. it happens in "Monitor Session")

In multiplayer, still having sync issues all-over the field (some people do, others dont) if one player with higher ping joins in. You can tell cause green lights pop at a different time (up to 5 seconds difference). When this happens, race results are also messed up. People are finishing in random positions

TC and ABS occasionally stop working after switching sessions, works fine in practice and qualy, stops working during race.

People getting unneeded penalties, eg: you get punted of the track, other player leaves and you get a position penalty you can't give back and a massive time penalty/drivethrough/dsq as a result...

 

Something that really is a p.i.t.a (but also a bit funny) is that when I select a new livery, the mouse click registers so fast that it immediately triggers the button underneath in the race menu as well, which is "choose livery" so selecting a new livery automatically brings me back into livery selection.

I have seen similar problems with other items in vehicle selection.

Having a very responsive UI is great but when actions fire left and right like that it's a bit terrifying.

P.S. Maybe moving the buttons to a bit different places would solve this?

 

Noticed that too. In multiplayer sessions when I click the proceed to next session button it also for some reason is clicking the player card of the first driver, really weird

 

With a wheel you can no longer access the 'option' menu (the menu tab at the very top right of screen) on race session screens using a funky switch/dpad or even arrow keys. You can only access it with a mouse which is annoying during a race.

The 'option' tab away up into the top corner it is not selectable without a mouse.

Can the coding be fixed so it can be selected by pressing up arrow keys, dpad up etc, as it seems to be coded to only be selectable with a mouse pointer for some reason which is really strange

 

Same here. I have Heusingveld pedals and SC2 with Cube controls wheel. I can only bind one of them. Why is this? Either the pedals work, or the steering wheel does. I’m

yeah. on the flip side, it is actually good thing: if a mouseclick already immediately fires the next dialog it's a sign of extremely reactive programming, and placing the buttons a little apart should already solve it.

Compare that for example to Microsoft Flight Simulator where clicking a button takes at least half a second to register, because apparently even the simplest mouseclick has to go through a hundred layers of bloat.

 

I alwalys had this problem, the game is in 50 40 fps but after a time playing the game goes like in slow motion and idk what to do

 

@Manu04 what are your hardware specs?

As far as AMS2 goes 40-50 is really bad so could it be you are below minimum specs?

 

i have the minimum spec only that i have an AMD Radeon RX Vega 11 Graphics, i dont have a video card

 

This could have something to do with it, let's say you have 40 fps under ideal conditions but you are also inches away from running out of memory, CPU or GPU cpacity and then it becomes a slideshow.

There is a reason why it's more important for a benchmark to measure the lows and not only the highs.

 

For the "Select" button I already found a solution: Just click on the left side of the button, the "Select Livery" button is somewhat offset to the right, so on the left side there is some space where it does not trigger.

 

Is any form to adjust the cpu that game uses? So the problem is the cpu

 

Impossible to answer, all of it perhaps. start with minimum settings and no cars, and tell us what you get. From there it wont get any better with more cars and details for sure.

I have a 8 year old CPU (4790K) and a new GPU (7900 GRE) but it still runs with almost constant 90 fps, so I'd say your hardware must be ancient.
