Probably the mods you're using do need an update as well.

Hmm, but I can race normally with the mods. It's just that loading setups doesn't work. Everything else works without any problems.

    It's just a livery mod for Formula 1 V10 Gen2.

I know what the problem is. ALL old Setup data are corrupted. I delete all setup data in the game folder and now the game works fine...
    What for a ennoying problem...

I hope Reiza find a patch for this problem. I don't have fun to make all Setups new.

Likely has to do something with:

"A new round of physics refinements for many of the existing classes, most notable of which being once again GT3 (both gens), GT1, Group C, BMW M1 Procar & LMDh / GTP, all of which also having default setup and / or setup ranges revised which should mean old setups will probably not work for these classes without significant adjustments and it´s better to start them afresh; many others have received further minor tire adjustments as per the changelog below but those should not impact their performance or existing setups to a significant extent."

Yeah thats well and good, but it would have been good to know from Reiza that the game crashes when loading old setups.
And you can't delete the setup files in the game itself, only in the Documents folder in Windows... This information would be important for Gamer where use old setups before the Patch.

Apologies for the tag but are you fellas aware of an issue with a flashing drive button ?
Happened yesterday on justrace in qualy after going into the pits via menu and i couldnt click it
also got a video but it pretty much only shows it flashing and me being unable to click it.

Other people on the server also had the same issue.

Not aure if related but later the session didnt change over into race as well iirc being stuck in waiting for players.

Whenever I place myself at the back of the grid using player custom or player last in multi class races it only puts me last in my group and not the whole grid.
Could this be due to custom liveries or is it a bug?

    Hi,

Try removing your custom livery mod to check if it’s causing the issue. First, back up your liverymod files, then uninstall the mod and test the game again. If the problem disappears, you’ll know the mod was the cause.

Hi @Marius H Still the same with default liveries. Anyone else getting this or is it just me?
Sometimes I just want to lower the ai and "play the hero that fought from the back of the grid"!

@Bernd18995 Looking forward to those logs. Can you confirm the steering wheels of you and others were straight, cause left/right triggers the menu navigation

Yes, should have been pretty straight.
You probably hear that kind of smack a lot but i got over 1k hours in ams 2 and i never noticed any ui interaction if the steering wheel was centered or slightly off center.
So i would rule that one out, unless it was a rather recent change/issue.

    Logs attached

    Hope that helps

Appreciate what you and the team are doing

this crash has been fixed in the hotfix from yesterday, it happened when you had more than 64 setups for a given car, thanks for reporting

    hi, a quick question.
So, for a year since I have ams2, regarding the car setup screen, clicking on EDIT SETUP/ sometimes getting in the advanced tab or when saving a new car setup and quitting the setup menu, it takes 4-6 seconds each time. Its so annoying, that is why I was so happy with the 1.6.8.5 update, when suddenly everything was instant almost, no waiting time entering edit setup or getting out from it. And then, came update 1.6.8.6 ... and its the same again....:(( these big loading times are normal ? Its running from SSD of course.

That is really odd, for me it is instant like it always has been. Did you try to verify integrity of the game ? Do you have enough disk space ? Do you happen to have too many setups saved ?

Good to know thanks. Integrity is ok, it behaved like this from day 1 but i thought its how this engine works. Enough space, around 20 setups so there should be no problem with that. Ohhhh it so annoys me knowing it should be instant.... Now I have to find a solution.

What on earth happened here today? I’ve never seen anything like this in all these years! The beta worked without any problems, and now the main game is throwing these kinds of errors during the update! o_O
