Of course it is ... should've been kinda obvious in hindsight, what with Renato being Brazilian. I'm gonna try auto-translate, but that function's quality is a bit unreliable.

 

It's gives you the general jist of what's being said. Not perfect by any stretch of the imagination though.

1. Acelerados + Volkswagen partnership to develop their first game. 100% free.
2. They are promising to deliver a realistic sim, both physics and visuals. The cars are going to be VW Polo and VW Virtus.
3. They are launching 'the largest sim racing competition in Brazil' with their sim.
   
4. Barrichello praised both the (real) cars.
5. They collected real data from the cars in the Velo Città track, working together with Reiza to make the sim happen.
6. Renato and Andre (from VW) awkwardly standing. Renato starts explaining how to bring the real deal to the virtual world. Andre starts explaining the most obvious stuff.
7. Renato starts scanning the car with his powerful smartphone.
8. Andre and the Acelerados presenter start speaking about how the cars are modelled and stuff.
9. Renato starts speaking (while uncomfortable during the cornerings) on how his challenge is to make the data translate into a realistic in-game behaviour of the car.
10. The car has paddleshifts. Andre starts explaining about the XDS plus ("differential electronic blockage", I've absolutely no idea how to properly translated that), which helps the driver with the differential, making it easier to take the turns and balancing front and rear.
11. Andre explains the physics on why the Polo is stronger than the Virtus in acceleration and out of corners. Also explains why the Virtus is faster than the Polo at higher speeds (aerodynamics).
12. Presenter begins to lap around.

Ah so it's a "Copa Petrobras de Marcas" type deal then, free game made with the currently used game engine? Sounds interesting i must say. Im interested to know if those cars will make it to AMS2 in the future.

 

I think that's the way it will be, the cars and tracks of the "Copa Petrobras de Marcas" were included in AUTOMOBILISTA.

It makes no sense that a "demo" of AUTOMOBILISTA 2 comes out with a couple of VWs and that these cars are not included in the full game.

Perhaps we must wait for the online competition to end to have these cars in AUTOMOBILISTA 2, but they will arrive.

 

Any plans to sell those AMS2 T-Shirts Renato? Very cool.

 

I'm sure somebody will suggest giving away those t-shirts as prizes in esports events.

 

Bah, so the dream of throwing those around Nordshleife in AMS2 seems far away. Good to have a "new" title, but I was hoping it'll be part of AMS2.

I wonder how it'll affect the AMS2 roadmap but I suppose it'll be addressed in the dev diary/roadmap post later on.

 

It says there that this new free game will live inside AMS2, so it could be that you can drive those cars at any tracks in any game modes.

 

See, I read it as it'll be (understandably) using AMS2 engine, but with different content. I hope you're right though

 

I think it will be something like Project Cars Pagani Edition....
Free Game but also part of the PC content , probably will be the same for for AMS2 owners with VW cars instead....
