ACC at least has a shader based option built in. It applies before the HUD, so it doesn't distort the HUD, but it does come at the expense of reduced image resolution / quality in the central area.

Interesting. I'm just surprised how little support there is, still, across the whole industry, for monitors that are more and more popular and have been in the market for so many years.

but someone has to start. right?
the same goes for full force technology and true force. it makes no sense to invest in new hardware. imo

It has been so long yet AMS2 still does not support ultrawide 32:9 ratio display ?

I have been playing AMS2 on both ultrawide (32:9) and with VR for years now, I still haven't found this been a big problem. The ACC's way of doing it is really ugly, makes image blurry as hell, I definitely didn't want to use it. No experience of the iRacing solution, but is there any other sim that does it and it actually works well?

It's the compromise you get with ultrawide

ACC have a ultrawide correction that works like a charm in my 49" ultrawide, same for AC and Iracing. Even in LMU you can use a workaround.

What's the issue? I have an ultrawide and don't notice any distortions or image problems

Look at my screenshots in the second post of this thread, you’ll clearly see the difference between correction and no correction.

I wouldn't even notice there is an issue in the not corrected screenshots unless I saw the corrected ones, ignorance is bliss

Yeah me too, but I always use a more bonnet cam view where the A pillar is off to the left side out of sight, so that's probably why I never noticed.

Can you share the workaround for LMU? And I support you guys in getting a 32:9 aspect ratio in AMS2!

It was on the LMU official forum, let me if I find it. it makes the difference with the distortion.

A solution would be to enable triple support also with only 1 monitor like in ACC, AC EVO, ETS
So 32:9 could have a correct view and no correction filter has to be programmed.
