    Hi

We will start a league with the V10 at the end of the summer. However, we have the feeling that Traction Control if set to low, is nearly the same as traction control at full. What you guys feel regarding TC with V10? We can't see a big difference. Can this be adjusted a bit, to feel more difference between, low, medium and full.

    Cheers and keep racing
    Marcel

There´s a lot more slippage with TC on low / medium vs FULL, as far as actual electronic aid (a set in the garage) is concerned. Keep in mind the game´s TC as a driving aid works a little differently and is separate from the garage function.

I personally notice plenty of difference between the three settings.

I tested it again yesterday with V10 in Melbourne (Track from Patrick)...and in my opinion TC low is still too high. I only set TC to low in the garage menu. On the main difficulty page all aids are disabled. I feel that I always can fully stand on the throttle all the time. At the start...no spins...no slide...as on rails...if two side wheel are on gras, full throttle, no spins...out of corners...full throttle, not even a little slide....just too easy do drive in my opinion...not really a challenge to drive them. But probably it was like that in those years....and coming from a Extreme Season, my feet are probably still to sensitive... :)

I agree with Marcel - I've found myself thinking that even on low the TC is just a bit too intrusive and I know I'd be able to gain a few tenths if I had the option to dial it back a little.

There's a huge difference between 'off' and 'low', and it's almost as if you're forced to use TC for the huge advantage it brings to accelerating out of the slow corners - you can just tromp on the gas and go - but I'm certain that the TC on low is cutting the power in places where I'm confident I'd either be able to handle the slip with a little counter-steer or feather the throttle a whisker to catch it.

Does this behavior happens with ABS as well, like on the Lancer RS?

Well the TC actually helps you rotate the car with the forces that would otherwise have you spinning so I see it as an undeniably better to have on, its just really weird to get used to. Also once the tires start to wear its very noticeable how much it helps.

OK, so... If I'm hosting a multiplayer race and have 'TC off' in the options (i.e. the driving aid), then the V10's TC should still work in the hosted race? 'Cos it doesn't, on mine (I've not tried since the most recent couple of patches, but it definitely wasn't until that point).

Is there a post somewhere describing the difference between the TC and ABS driving aids vs the settings in the garage? If they are different, then what happens if a particular setting is on (e.g., TC) both as a driving aid and in the garage?

    They´re the same functionality-wise.

Yes, I have verified that this is indeed not working as it should. The garage driving aid should not be affected by the server settings. This will be rectified.

    The problem is still there.
The TC in the garage is still dependent of the driving aids TC. So in order to use "factory TC" we must enable driving aids.
    Any solution ?

Thats not the case. On vehicles that have it as Electronic aids available in garage it works independent of driving aids in game difficulty option settings.
With Formula V10 you can easily hear TC at work.

I think the problem is that the server doesn't allow garage electronic aids if the driving aids from menu are prohibited.

Exactly, if drivings aids TC is set to 0 (disabled) in the server side rule.
TC from the car setup can't be used.

For TC to work, we must enable driving aids TC to 1 (low) in the server.
