    Hallo Leute,

Mit dem neusten Oculus-Update hatte ich das Problem, dass Open Composite nicht mehr mit AMS 2 funktionierte.

    Hello folks,

With the latest Oculus update I had the problem that Open Composite no longer worked with AMS 2.

I think this is actually an issue hi-lighted by the beta preview version of the Oculus software. It appears this no longer works with the OpenXR Toolkit. They must have rolled the changes out to the main release. Try unticking AMS2 in the OpenXR toolkit companion app. This should still allow OpenXR to work (with OpenComposite) but will however disable any features that you were using with the toolkit.
I doubt we will see any updates to the toolkit at this point as the developer has ceased support for the toolkit now.

    From the developer of OpenXR Toolkit, he posted this on the MSFS forums yesterday;

I never got a response from the Meta engineers, in spite of sending them a 1:1 message (meaning directly to the devs and not through the support).

Looks like v68 is rolling out today, unclear whether they fixed their bug.

Why are you all still using their software when there are much more powerful alternatives out there :expressionless:

EDIT: Meta finally acknowledged my report. So I’m assuming current roll out will be DOA for everyone.

EDIT: Meta confirmed they will fix it in v69.

Such a mess! Yesterday my Quest PC software and headset also updated to v67 and OpenXR is not working anymore. Crash to desktop when i start AMS2. When i disable the toolkit in the companion app it works, but i lost almost 20% headroom without OpenXR. Guess we have to wait for v69 then...

I think he means Virtual Desktop. But I don´t want to buy a new dedicated 6e router for this, when the cable solution works for me (as long as Meta did not mess up their software).

I mean, there's 3rd party stuff like the toolkit, and VD etc, but afaik there is no current way of running an Oculus headset without the Oculus software running is there?

I don't think VD is a replacement of the Oculus software for everybody as it doesn't support cable.

Have done some heavy digging and found a solution for me! Toolkit is working again!

I reverted the Meta Quest Link App to an older version and now the OpenXR Toolkit is working again (just copy/paste some files). My headset version is still v67 and the Meta Quest Link App says Version 68.0.0.433.

I now blocked the Oculus app via windows firewall, hope it didnt update by itself now, like it did before.

You can find more information and the old files to download in this DCS World Subredit Post:

At least I can drive again, maybe it worth a try.

Hey everyone, I've read the forum and the topic but I'm no wiser:
Does opencomposite + OpenXr toolkit work currently with AMS2?
I've just got the PSVR2 with an adapter and it appears to work only using SteamVR.
The headset itself is great and a big upgrade on Quest 2 which I had previously.
However wider FOV and higher resolution are quite taxing on my pc with 4070ti and I appear to have something like 20ms latency which prevents 90hz running smoothly. I was wondering if openxr toolkit could help, but I haven't had any luck launching opencomposite itself. I don't know if it's important, but the headset currently seems to work only when steamvr itself is running.

"System wide" OpenComposite is hit and miss with AMS2 copying the file into the AMS2 x64 folder is the safest bet - not sure about PSVR2 compatibility - there's always Vrperfkit if you are wanting just the FSR optimisation - GitHub - fholger/vrperfkit: VR Performance Toolkit

Thank you very much for the response, but I'm not sure it's running? I've put it into the folder with executable files, but don't see any effect. There's also no log file created. Is there something I'm missing?

Oh nevermind, I found out that vrperfkit does not work with AMS2. Well that's a pity. I guess it's time to return the PSVR2 then. It feels and looks great, but without openxr support its a dead end.

That's a shame I hear good things.. Someone will crack the problem but may take time.
