    I did too until I went into W11 Settings:

    Game Mode : ON
    System - Display - Graphics - Default graphics settings
    Hardware Accelerated : ON
    Variable Fresh Rate : ON
    Optimisation for Windowed Games: ON

    Not sure which one fixed my issue of GPU being somewhat throttled but back to smooth 90Hz.

    been spending a good chunk of my afternoon to test 1.6 and especially VR performance.

    My goal being to achieve 90fps locked in severe Night&rain conditions, with 12 cars visible on track and of course driving in Cockpit view that is the worse for light reflection(fps killer)

    Headset PSVR2
    SteamVR resolution 84% or 3100pixel per eye

    In Game VRconfig
    <prop name="Mode" adapter="0" width="1176" height="664" refresh_num="60" refresh_dem="1"/>
    <prop name="Vsync" vsync="0"/>
    <prop name="FrameLatency" framelatency="1"/>
    <prop name="AntiAlias" antialias="0"/>
    <prop name="SMAAFXAA" smaafxaa="7"/>
    <prop name="Windowed" windowed="1"/>
    <prop name="TextureFilter" texturefilter="5"/>
    <prop name="TextureResolution" textureresolution="2"/>
    <prop name="Brightness" brightness="10"/>
    <prop name="CarDetailLevel" cardetaillevel="2"/>
    <prop name="MaxVisibleVehicles" maxvisiblevehicles="12"/>
    <prop name="TrackDetailLevel" trackdetaillevel="2"/>
    <prop name="ShadowDetailLevel" shadowdetaillevel="2"/>
    <prop name="MotionblurLevel" motionblurLevel="0"/>
    <prop name="EffectsDetailLevel" effectsdetaillevel="2"/>
    <prop name="ParticlesDetailLevel" particlesdetaillevel="2"/>
    <prop name="EnvmapDetailLevel" envmapdetaillevel="3"/>
    <prop name="MirrorEnabled" mirrorenabled="1"/>
    <prop name="MirrorEnhanced" mirrorenhanced="0"/>
    <prop name="EnvmapReflectionDetailLevel" envmapreflectiondetaillevel="1"/>
    <prop name="GraphicsLevel" graphicslevel="4"/>
    <prop name="SuperSampling" supersampling="0"/>
    <prop name="LowSuperSampling" lowsupersampling="0"/>
    <prop name="VRSuperSampling" vrsupersampling="0"/>
    <prop name="SharpeningStrength" sharpeningstrength="1.000000"/>
    <prop name="SharpeningClamp" sharpeningclamp="0.090000"/>
    <prop name="OffsetBias" offsetbias="1.100000"/>

    You can see that with AA,I went to SMAA ULTRA. I used to switch between MSAA MED and HIGH but never been really achieving the 90fps goal, and aliasing was still well there.

    Anyway, conclusion is that SMAA ULTRA works better for me at killing aliasing especially on cars ahead of me, and to my surprise, allowed me to avoid frametime going over 10ms as opposed to what happend with MSAA HIGH in the past.

    I must say that I recently upgraded to W11 so maybe there is some influence here. HGAS is OFF by the way

    Particles now are more demanding, even in a clear day. I believe that the new objects oclusion of the particles textures is really demanding. All the rest appears to runs with the same performance.

    *EDIT* SOLVED THIS ISSUE WITH THE FIRST PARTICLES SETTING AT MEDIUM. LOW IS UGLY AS HELL AND HIGH IS UNPLAYABLE IN MY 4070 SUPER. MEDIUM RUNS LIKE HIGH IN 1.5.

    Not sure if anyone else has noticed this but seems like VR looks worse overall - it looks almost over sharpened close up but blurrier in the distance than 1.5. I did a complete reinstall (no adjustment to sharpening settings in file) and might be going completely crazy and need to go back to previous version to double check, but wondering if anyone else observes this?

    EDIT - doh, ignore me, I HAD messed up the sharpening settings!

    I expected a bit of a graphic overhaul but didn't notice any difference. I tried the rain/night and it worked as well as I expected. I think difficult areas like lots of cars on screen at night run a smidge better.

    lol,I play with all settings on ultra, only motion blur are off, and i have stable 90 fps with a GTX 1070 with a Ryzen 5 2600 on 1080p

    Edit: the 1% low is 78 fps, maximum is 110 (with 35 cars on track...didn't test the maximum cars on track, but i think it's simmilar)

    I've a 3090, 5800 3d, 32g ram and I now seem to run at 60hz. It's just a constant judder. I should look out for a 1070 on the cheap to upgrade.

    After running a lot, almost same performance. But some of the cars have really bad optimized models. GT3 Gen2, Formulas HiTech...

    I have flipped game mode off again as well as hags and now I seem to have the frames back to normal. Thank god I don't need to get a 1070 again.

    Agreed, smoke will destroy the fps on my 4080. I run at medium for all particles settings now.

    I reainstaled the game, I touched "game mode, HAGS, and nothing, the frames are not back for me.
    Looks like a LOD prorblem, now it has smoother distance detail at low on cars and track, and my PC doesn't like it.
    From 72FPS on quest 2 stable, to 50FPS in some areas to 72 to 45, all over the place at lower settings.

    Has anyone tried running AMS2 in VR through Virtual Desktop since 1.6 came out? It no longer starts in VR mode for me for some reason. Link cable still works fine, and other games do still run in VR mode with Virtual Desktop so I'm not sure whether there's something in the 1.6 update that broke things or whether there's something funky going on in my specific setup.

    I’ve been running the beta in Virtual Desktop without any problems…
    Haven’t been able to try the release version yet, though.

    Seeing that the game is a bit more demanding now I want to play deactivating the monitor image, however the no-mouse is a big problem. Regarding this, a couple of questions:
    - Is there any way known to use the Quest3 controller as a mouse? If not pointing, maybe just the joystick?
    - Would a normal PC controller with joystick be able to move the cursor in game?
    - If none of the above, how do you navigate the menus?

    Thanks, i'll fiddle around with it some more tomorrow then, may have to run opencomposite again or something (not sure whether i had to last time to get it working). Though i'm not sure what happened to cause things to suddenly not work anymore.

    I use either left Quest 3 controller or the "gaze control" that i confirm manually with the X button on my T300.

    Does the left controller work out of the box? I have to try that tomorrow. What is the gaze control?

    Yes it does it is just a basic virtual desktop feature.
    Go to "Virtual Reality" menu in AMS2, enable it or set to "manual" and give it a test, see for yourself. Basically a pointer that you control with your, well, gaize.
