Headset on, click the right controller menu button. World should appear with a lot of controls, point at and click the trigger for 'settings' and look for 'Guardian' on the left hand side - all the settings to clear or disable the guardian are in there.

Or, if you're setting up your headset from scratch (my rift s seems to pop up with this 'no guardian settings' every now and again - I think it can do it if its dark in the room when I use it and maybe it thinks I'm not in the same room) you can set the floor level, skip and then just 'acknowledge' when it pops up warning you that if you trip over your cat or punch your sister whilst playing then it's on you.

So for anyone that is trying to find the SteamVR FoV Settings like I was:
Go to the per App Video Settings, go to the FoV Slider and move it. Once you have moved it you can select the type. Select "Advanced" and you can limit vertical fov, while horizontal stays locked.

AMS2 does not really seem to like that however.

Well, I'm not 100% sure, but for example in iRacing you need to start it in OpenXR to be able to use it. In OculusVR it's useless.

I think this is just an issue in the way AMS2 interacts with it.
In Linux SteamVR you can set it to "Legacy reprojection mode" and get it half working with that.
Still doesn't fully work however. If enough users give feedback about it, maybe we can get developers to look at it.

IF anyone can help thanks in advance. i have factory overclocked rtx 4070 with an i7 gpu. ams 2 as always run pretty well locked at 90fps and 1.3 ss in a psvr 2 headset. since 1.6 update i can get nowhere near this, i put all settings on low cut the res back to less than 100%, but nothing as improved performance. n0w this is where things get odd, i decided to go back to project cars 2... but performance was now awful on that, so i thought it was a pc problem, so on to f1 24 a game most people hate in vr...locked 90fps and smooth, acc runs same as normal. Recently had fresh install of win 11. is the madness game engine causing problems with win 11 ( game runs fine on flat screen) no problems with other pc games... it just seems to be madness engined games in vr

Well AMS2 recently overhauled the physics simulation for Tires in v1.6. Most likely this new simulation now requires more performance.
Depending on which i7 you are using this might be the culprit of your issues.
What model i7 is in your computer?

Yeah vr has taken a big hit here also and although the new textures do look good I find it all a little dull. This game used to pop in VR. Also the big menu whilst sat on the grid waiting for the always one to select ready I find a little claustrophobic. Unfortunately AMS2 is going the wrong way for VR.

I really hate how the menus while waiting for the race countdown are not see through, really feels like you are in a prison menu rather then a normal setup / ready screen.

After a fair bit of testing and tweaking I’ve got it running very well in vr on y quest 3 with most if not all settings on high.
One thing I can’t understand now though with the settings I have is that the cars in front of me appear floaty as in not in contact with the ground. It just looks off to me….it’s as if the track surface colour is to light in colour and the darker shade of the tyres makes it appear quite floaty
Is there something fundamental that I am missing? I’ve even got the sharpening file at 2.99

    Any help appreciated

    Lacking shadows can do that

He says he has most if not all settings on High so why would he be lacking shadows?

Having said that, I don't see this floaty car visuals personally.

Shadows are set to high as are most in game settings. I wonder if I have something wrong in either the debug tool or nvidia control panel

Game is great for me otherwise

I got lucky with the update:

But, every major update of AMS2 brings things strange from depths of Madness Engine. A lot of people with bad VR performance.
