Thanks for your help. Unfortunatley it didn't solve the problem.

I'm talking about the Initial Screen during startup of AM2. I guess it has something to do with OpenXR and OpenComposite. Normally there would be a kind of Configuration File or an Overlay with a button to center the screen.

Slight change of subject, Renato, but I just had Google Gemini do a deep dive on the web to see if Reiza had ever addressed whether or not it was looking into moving AMS2 to native OpenXR support so we don't have to use community layers like OpenComposite to get a better-than-SteamVR experience.

Did Google's AI fail to find mention of this anywhere? Or is it in fact the case that you guys have no plans to modernize the VR to OpenXR? Thanks!

I don't know If Reiza only change track shaders logic in this update, but this build for sure ramp up performance in VR here. Not a single frame appears to be skiped in SP in VR, best performance ever and a lot of settings go higher now:

    Really happy.

Oh you‘re in VR now, must be fantastic but temps were quite high in Greece, weren‘t they? I couldn‘t drive in VR when it’s too hot.

I race in VR and it is proper DARK. Are you on a monitor ? Are you sure your brightness / contrast setting isn't off if you think the night is not dark enough ? Because when i turn headlights off in VR when driving during midnight on an unlit part of a track i cannot see a dang thing, it is pitch black.

For that reason alone i installed a proper AC into my room. Cannot image being without it now.

Yeah, for this exact reason I am not using VR much for racing, even with the AC full on, in the summer within 10 minutes it becomes a foggy mess from sweat inside the headset :)

I do have a Reverb (and previously an Occulus) since years ago, but couldn't make it work yesterday, maybe it conflicted with my triples setup which I mostly race with.

I live in the desert. Solution for me is not only AC, but to also have a 36" box fan on the floor in front of my rig. Keeps me cool for hours. Without that fan I'd be done in a matter of minutes.

Haha same here! I'm also using two frozen 1,5lt bottles of water/ice between the fan and the open case PC ;)

I bought a cheap USB fan with custom facial interface for Quest 2 and solve the fog issue insiste headset. 4070 Super solve any GPU overheating, because this thing run really cool.

Rio de Janeiro is a desert with an ocean in summer.

After several attempts, I still can't play in VR with the Quest 3.
As always, even when it worked before the last major AMS2 update, I launch the game from Steam with the "Launch AMS2 in Oculus VR mode" option. While everything loads on the PC monitor until it reaches the race type selection screen, the Quest 3 stalls on a screen with the words "Automobilista 2" and the words "Loading" for a long time.
I use the Quest 3 with Meta Quest Link.
Before the last major update, it worked perfectly.
I even tried uninstalling and reinstalling the game, but nothing worked.

Have you tried rebooting the headset?
It's a strange one as it works for me without any issues on the same headset using public version or the paddock beta.

Yes, I even did a factory reset, but it still installs the latest firmware available (v78).
The strange thing is that it works perfectly with EA WRC and LMU.
With Raceroom, which I just installed to test it, it doesn't work and even gives me an error, while with ACC it doesn't work, but I don't remember if I'd ever tried it with VR before.
Automobilista2 worked with VR, but for a while I didn't play it because I was playing WRC and LMU, and when the latest big update came out, it stopped working in VR, but you can play it in normal mode.

I'm getting VR stutters every now and then after the initial update and its super frustrating. Windows 10/Quest3/Virtual Desktop/4090/5800X3D. Any tips or help would be much appreciated.

Try to disable GPU scheduling in windows. This often causes problems in VR

You can get rid of the white shimmering outlines on everything in the dark by disabling MSAA (I'm using DLDSR to try and brute force around the aliasing at the moment).

The only way for me to get rid of those "every now and then" stutters on VR when using Virtual desktop was to use to connect the Quest 3 with LAN cable, using LAN to USB-c converter (just remmeber to turn off the wifi in the headset, otherwise it still continues to use the wifi connection instead). Even though I have the VD dev's recommend WiFi 6e router and have it within 50cm of my quest 3 without any obstacles, but it's just not enough, there was still occasional spikes in the network latency that caused most of the stutters I experienced.
