    Hii Roy

    When VR is running then the resolution in menu is at 1920x1080 174Hz.
    I can lower it but not rise it to the native screen resolution 3440x1440 174Hz.

    Now according to yout hint under documents/Automobilista 2 ive checked the settings in this 5 files (tripples is not interesting) and in the marked one there was the 1920x1080.
    Changed it to 3440x1440 and ingame its still 1920x1080.

    in the oculus, openvr and starvr there is no resolutions setting available....

    Have you tried setting it to borderless window when running AMS2 in VR, as that works for me to have the game running in the native resolution of my monitor.

    Ive tried now several things. Nothing has effect on that.
    Ive also changed the resolution manually in the file and put it on read-only.
    Game ignore it anyway. Confused to be honest.
    I would like to sole it but at other point i dont want to delete that files and try from beginning.

    This file graphicsconfigopenvrdx11 is responsible for the VR right?

    Is there something wrong? If wou need whole file so let me know.

    Additionally ive checked some recordings form RaceRoom and the recorded video is in proper format (21:9) and in correct resolution (3440x1440).
    So basically this combo works but now not sure why AMS2 has this problem.

    I'm running in 1.3 Supersampling, Max Quest 2 resolution, MSAA medium, and link sharpening at QUALITY.

    Zero flickering and looks and runs better than TAA. TAA is an horrible antialiasing tech, the new and blurry as hell FXAA on steroids.

    And broke ASW in Quest. I give up this thing for VR, but looks really nice in 2D.

    I was wondering if anyone could help me. I have recently installed Oasis to continue using my HP Reverb G2 headset with windows 11.

    Previously I was very successful with VR in this game after using open XR and following this tutorial (I'm on a 3080)


    I even had success with the newly introduced TAA. In short, VR was great for me on my 3080.

    I have just installed Oasis and I'm finding the framerate to be low, and there are also stutters. When looking at the Steam VR Performance graph, during gameplay its saying 0.1 of 11.1ms (90hz) which is amazing, but I'm not seeing those results in game. In fact, if I look closely, it seems there are red/purple bars, although small, in this graph which must be the stutters.

    Any advice or a new tutorial for old systems. Is it oasis or something else?

    Performance has improved in the rain, not sure if it was documented by Reiza but headlights don't seem to tank my FPS in VR anymore, I'm able to race a full grid in rain (not light rain) and the Ai use headlights and I can still maintain 90 fps with my tuned graphics settings.

    Day but with rain it gets pretty dark amd headlights used to cause me issues. Still to test night.
    Using MSAA medium at 85% resolution scale in pimax.

    Thanks! Here I trade in open wheelers shadows ULTRA for vehicle detail LOW, because LODs are better. In closed cockpit maybe someday Reiza can take a look at LODs, because the transition in other cars are really bad and need more love.

    Does anyone know why the FPS drops after a few laps in long races?

    After 5 or 6 laps the FPS gradually decreases.

    It doesn't matter what graphics settings I use.

    I don't suppose you have time acceleration on and it gets darker so cars turn on their headlights? Headlights kill fps in AMS2 VR

    This driver-level DFR project looks so cool. https://github.com/mbucchia/PimaxMagic4All
    It works on different headsets and enables the DFR without requiring changes from the game side, but AMS2 isn't supported.
    Here are the requirements:
    • Use OpenVR (as opposed to Oculus mode or OpenXR);
    • Application must be 64-bit;
    • Run within SteamVR. OpenComposite is not supported;
    • Use Direct3D 11;
    • Allow 3rd party code injection (which is blocked by software such as Easy Anti-Cheat).
    I'm curious about which one is missing for AMS2.

    Edit: It says "Incompatible rendering method" for AMS2 but i dont know what does that mean.

    I just upgraded my graphic card. but trees are still heavy on my system. it s running great at most tracks even at night and rain with 20 cars. But at Mosport or Monza, the trees are just too heavy and I see a big slow down in performance. Even when alone on the track. That's on high detail setting for the track. What adjustments do I have to do in the settings to get more simple trees. Why are they so heavy on the system? They could just be flat 2D objects for me.

    With the arrival of Steam Frame and their eye tracking, does Reiza plan to include dynamic foveated rendering in the game's graphics engine to take advantage of the performance improvement?

    Trees on Monza is heavy for me too, even on medium settings.
