On out lap, everything is fine in VR, but first flying lap and the FPS tanks, especially on slow corner exits. V10 Gen2 at Imola, also happened with P052 at Azure, 1080ti, i7-6600k, 32 GB RAM. Latest Nvidia driver and Oculus driver. Doesn't happen with monitor.
I have been having this issue. seems to be happening @ dusk as the headlights start coming on. Goes from 90 FPS to 60 then 30, and by the time I get back to pit rd it's in the 20's If I change start time to 11am I have no issues. stays solid 90. But I like the transition to night. Any one have a thought on the problem Thanks
Dawn and dusk transitions affects my VR performance too. This may be what the OP is experiencing - not clear though, he doesn't mention anything about it happening during daylight transitions.
