Hi, For 2 days now I can't even get down the first straight w/o getting punted? Is grammer school out of session now and they're all on ams2.? Admittedly I'm playing a lil earlier in the day than normal but wtf? Sorry. Just venting I guess
The least ramming I have seen in a racing game was on moderated "clean" servers in Wreckfest Seriously, I have the impression that it is rather rare on AMS2 Servers (20:30-21:30 CEST) and not always deliberatly. I use rolling starts with formation lap for a while, thats correct anyways for Touring Car classes, so the "problem" can be identified quickly and session restarted if needed. Btw. not choosing modern GT seems to attract Wreckers less. In general, AMS2 community is not comparable to the situation on Assetto Corsa Servers, I have never finished a MP session there lately.
Just some bad luck, I guess. Join a league for more fun, unless you don't want to be stuck by day and time.
Hi, Thx guys for your advice. I can't do a league.....and I love modern gts I guess its bad luck....and I don't have a clutch, so my starts can be slow with the BMW GTE. I'm not used to starting less than 3rd I'm going to try again now. Thanks
Update; Had 2 whole races later in the day.....highly competitive, and clean...faith in humanity restored Montana's at guapore, and ajr v8 Chevy at Laguna. Eggsalent
I set up a lobby every sunday at 20:30 CEST that last until 21:30. small number of regulars, all lads in their 40's,16 slots, 8 AI, AI setting 80/50 Lobby is set to public. Next sunday 11. will feature Kyalami historic, multiclass: Group A and Procar. 15min Quali 5 laps race with 1 formation lap, rolling start and manual cooldown. Total playtime ca. 30minutes. Sunday 18. will feature Street cars and Caterhams at Donington GP Lobby name: McClutchClassics, we drive for the fun, not for the win!
Hehe. During start some dude's car turned off. Someone hit him, so I slowed down, then someone else hit me. So I landed upon his roof. He shook me off. Had a fun race anyway, but some people's awereness is 0.
Sounds like if you had uploaded a replay of this start we could all have had a good humorous laugh. But the reason I say this is that it sounds like kind of start accident we could also have seen in RL. I mean eventhough Im guessing it sounds like none of the accident participants did act wrecking others by purpose. ByTheWay: But yes peoples general awareness is not good in virtual races - eventhough I have seen comments on similiar accidents saying that its allways your owen fault if you are being hit by others.
one might add that netcode is also a big bad boy in this game we both had a pretty low ping and my internet had no issues
I’m at the bottom of the world and haven’t had NetCode issues, I often run with the same group most nights and we all a able to rub panels .
Guess I have been lucky up till now Sadly this was my 1st locked lobby ever and he got in. Question are ongoing
Thanks - that person looks like a prize DoucheBag. I've added them to my personal list of people to avoid in AMS 2 at all costs (21 steam names & counting so far). ...it's nice to be aware of who the DoucheBags are
I had a similar asshole on Montreal with F3’s in the rain yesterday. Dude was waiting for people on the backstraight. Took me out. I just turned back, flipped him and stood next to him so he couldn’t reset and take others out. PS: general reminder that once a safety rank system is in place, never join ranked races at the 2 lowest levels. Tip from a pC2 player xD
Welcome Muz I have no sympathy in showing name. Mm, yes good idea. As you both know my sessions are usually ok when it comes to this kind of crap, we all make errors but this clown had me kind of speechless, just sorting out how he accessed the locked lobby. On a good note testing that dry wet race @Shriukan Spielbergh was a blast chasing etc, lol too much wet in the livetrack. Had some great sessions recently, and another fast chappy last night.
It is like Mercedes tries to win the F1 World-title again, drive Max of the road at the start of a race
Yes as gamers /simers we can, should and do take things lightly, though I never recall such a season in F1 (prior to the Silverstone incident) When the team managers did more of this. Won't know or see the drama unfold here till 6.30 bst but lets hope for no ambulance. I put money on Booing either way for LH. Have a nice day, see you on track!
