You can add 10 tracks to AMS2 and that's it - which ones?

Do Historic versions of tracks we already have count?

    If So
    1. Historic Daytona (Never seen offically in a game before.)
    2. Historic Watkins Glen (Never seen offically in a game before.)
    3. Historic Long Beach (1 of 3 tracks missing for the 1983 F1 season)
    4. Targo Florio (Never seen offically in a game)
    5. Goodwood (The only circuit in the world that is both Historic and Modern)
    6. Lemans (Must have for Sports car racing)
    7. Riverside Raceway (America's greatest "fallen flag" track)
    8. Nazareth Speedway (America's most unique and dangerous Ovals)
    9. Mount Noro Speed Park (The Craziest club level race track you've never heard of, inspired by a rollercoaster and built into the side of a mountain in Japan.)
    10. Twin Ring (Oval and road course, everyone is happy)

If the Historic versions don't count, I get 3 more tracks.
    1. Dijon-Prenois (1 of 3 tracks missing for the 1983 F1 season)
    2. Preluk Circuit (Croatian Motorcycle racing circuit built by a sea side resort. It is a blast in cars!)
    3. Bremgarten (Home of the Swiss GP until the Lemans 1955 disaster, a amazing track that looks and feels like it was pulled out of a NFS game.)

    Noteable mentions
    1. Texas World Speedway (Barely didn't make the cut, only because I don't know whats coming in Racing USA part 3. If we get a super speedway oval, that isn't indy, it won't be needed. Otherwise I would replace Bremgarten)
    2. Fuji (Not a huge fan of driving fuji myself, and I would rather visit some lesser known tracks as AMS is known to do. But, if we did get Fuji because the community demanded it, I would love to see a "as originally proposed" layout and replace Preluk)

The premise didn't exclude rally/hillclimb/freeroam, but it feels like cheating to put them on the list, as one rally event location can provide more stage variations than perhaps all 10 regular locations combined. Maybe we should reserve those wishes for a "Reiza Rally" spinoff?

Most of my list is repetition from previous posters, but I added two AMS1 return entries at the end of the list:
    1. Le Mans (modern, historic, Bugatti, kart - similar to what's available in PC2)
    2. Zandvoort (historic 1971, 1988, 2001 with club circuit, and 2020)
    3. Potrero de los Funes
    4. Sebring
    5. Road Atlanta
    6. Surfers Paradise
    7. Ozarks International Raceway
    8. Oval: Reiza's choice (Indianapolis?)
    9. Tykkimäki (rallycross, drift, kart, crosskart)
    10. Ascurra (Autodromo Max Mohr)
What made me positive to Ozarks was when I read that it had 55ft (16m) track width. There are many similar "rollercoaster" tracks to choose from, but the best candidates I've found have narrower track width, often similar width to Cadwell Park. Not that popular with narrow tracks in multiplayer.

There's quite a bit left to expand on existing locations as well:
    • Brands Hatch Historic RX, Daytona RX, Hockenheimring RX, Nürburgring RX, Spa 2022 RX
    • Monza Oval
    • Buenos Aires 5-S
    • Cadwell Park Woodlands
    • Spa Karting
    • Historic track DLC

You get a like from me for including some more kart tracks (and especially tracks that suit the Shifter Kart which doesn't have many options currently in AMS2).

But Ferrari Kart is at Brasília which is a location we already have, so that doesn't count :p
I'll be naughty and replace it with Atlanta Motorsports Park so that we get another location with multiple uses (at least 2 kart layouts, and at least 2 car layouts). There are plenty of other great multi-purpose kart tracks out there, e.g. Nutts Corner which even supports superkarts and rallycross.

Off topic, but PM me if you want my "short list" of ~50 amazing kart tracks I want to drive!

I would like to add one more track, Pocono Speedway... Lots of road coruses, oval that might as well be a road course. Freaking terrifing all the way around....

    Nice replies, thanks everybody!

I think fleshing out current locations does not count in the list, it's something I would love for them to do. There are many locations which have kart tracks, are not included in the game at the moment, but could come at some point (again, Buenos Aires is one of these). Same goes for iconic historic layouts, Stadium Super Trucks layouts, and RallyCross layouts!

I included a hillclimb on my list. I think adding rally or hillclimb stages is not cheating: yes you can segment them or run counterclockwise to add variants, but these are still ill-adviced for wheel to wheel racing, which is where AMS2 places its focus. A Hillclimb stage at least offers a chance to take circuit cars in a pure time trial from point A to point B.

I will let the wishlists keep on coming for a couple days, then will do a job of manually counting the votes and see which ones are the most requested so far. The winners may not be what would be expected originally, specially seeing that forcing people to create a shortlist makes them choose priorities, hehe :) I'm pleasantly surprised to see Road Atlanta come up in virtually every list, nice to see that the AMS2 user base appreciates a fantastic permanent road course on a natural terrain layout.

Also: with the detail that Reiza has put on their tracks and seeing the parts you can explore of a location, they could also create rally stage variants of them, going all over the place through main track, access roads, chicanes and hairpins made of obstacles and so, that would add them new life and would be very interesting for Time Trial Leaderboards.

If I counted correctly, five locations are tied for 10th place at the moment, so get your votes in while you can!

I'd probably come up with a different list every day, but here's today's:
    1. Knockhill
    2. Mondello Park
    3. Rouen
    4. Zolder
    5. Sepang
    6. Nazareth
    7. Milwaukee Mile
    8. Michigan (MIS)
    9. Portland
    10. Surfers Paradise

    1. Knockhill (short and interesting track for lesser powered motors, also my wee local gem)
    2. Pau (a real classic and often forgotten)
    3. Twin Ring Motegi (two in one :))
    4. Macau (for some real carnage in online lobbies)
    5. Istanbul Park (the best Tilkedrome. Period)
    6. Goodwood (especially given the amount of historic machinery available)
    7. Sebring (including old longer layout)
Dubai Autodrome (we may need a Middle East track)
    8. Targa Florio (because it's a whishlist, not a realistic request!)
    9. Road Atlanta (because it's fun track) Since it's already there I'd like to switch it to Clermont Ferrand a.k.a. Charade (including historic long layout too!)
I'll leave the final option for one of those undiscovered gems that I've never heard of, but are just a blast to drive. Surprise me :)

Oof, 10 tracks... That's a tough one. It's hard to narrow it down to just ten, but I'll try to list what comes to mind. That list might be slightly different on another day, though.

In no particular order except for number 1. :D

    1. Oschersleben - I just fell in love with the flow of that track in GTR and GTR2. A surprisingly technical track!
    2. Circuit de la Sarthe (Le Mans) - Duh!
    3. Sebring - Never really spent that much time with it in any sim that had it, but it's a fascinating track I'd rather not miss - plus I kinda fell in love with the historic version when trying it in GPL a while ago
    4. Mugello - There's something beautiful about the flow of the track, as well as the location.
    5. Zaandvort - It's a real roller coaster of a track. So much fun in a lot of cars.
    6. Zolder - Goes well with just about anything especially in terms of GTs - both modern and classic. (Thinking of Group 5 especially!)
    7. Fuji - Not the most interesting track per se, but underrepresented in sim racing, and also makes sense with prototypes such as Group C or modern LMPs, IMHO.
    8. Targa Florio - Might as well go big here, right? :D Then all we'd need would be the corresponding car classes. ;)
    9. Sonoma Raceway - It's just such an iconic track for me, and I love tracks with elevation changes!
    10. Circuit de Catalunya (Barcelona) - It's a great track for fast cars, such as F1 or prototypes.
As for the last one, I have a hard time deciding between Mid Ohio, Sachsenring or Portimao, Brno and a few others (like Road Atlanta or Enna Pergusa) that have been mentioned. Heck, I'd even take a modern Tilkedrome for that matter - it's not like we have a lot of those right now. And, after all, variety is the spice of life, isn't it? :)

Alternatively, I'd go with a track of Reiza's choosing for #10. So far their choices have always been interesting and fun. It speaks volumes for the sim as a whole if you'd rather drive a lesser known gem of a track in a Brazilian classic car for fun than one of the modern "mainstream" tracks in a contemporary GT or F1 car.

EDIT: Since Le Mans and Catalunya are now in the game, I substitute these votes with Sachsenring and Rouen les Essarts.
