Alright, I have created a basic spreadsheet file (sorry, extremely limited skills here) which forum does not let me to attach, and counted votes manually, I hope I did not get it wrong. So far, votes look like this:

Truth be told I was actually thinking about including the Norisring on my own list as well. It's much more complex than it looks at first, especially due to the track surface. Just wasn't sure if it was too much "out there" to be included in the list.

EDIT: Oh my goodness. It just occurred to me I totally forgot to include the Circuit the Catalunya (Barcelona) on my list - that one is pretty much a must have for me. So I guess that one should take my '???' slot.

 

1. Norisring modern version
   
2. Norisring classic version (see stunning old layouts with extended straight=max speed!)
   Streckenlayouts (the different classic versions, we need the long straight version too
   Historic Norisring for Assetto Corsa - Released | VirtualR.net - 100% Independent Sim Racing News (!!)
   It´s in the Raceroom MP roatation also very popular, was there irl many times and this year was especially great i met Walter Röhrl there (need to update my avatar )
   
3. Zoder (yes, love it)
   
4. Zandvoort (2 layouts minimum, pre modern F1 and the latest version pls)
   
5. Bridgehampton (mentioned here and everone knows why this track is cool, even if itßs now a gold course, what a shame (rf2, ac users know this track well) cool footage:

8. A FREE ROAMING MAP like BEAMNG ITALY or of that kind, need this experience

10. Texas Motor Speedway/Formula NA South Star Motor Speedway (should be cool, in every AC Mod list)

I'm surprised Road Atlanta has so many votes?

 

Added to the spreadsheet. First two options I count them as one for Norisring, a single location can have the option of historical versions/layouts added to it in my books. As for the free roam map: while it's a good idea, I'm not sure of adding it as a general location, it kinda goes against the premise of the thread. So for now you have two shots left

 

It's a pleasant surprise. But then, it's an amazing place which hosts a high profile endurance race with the Petit Le Mans, and serves as the season finale of North America's top sportscars series. Together with Sebring at the top of the voting, it also hints at IMSA being more appreciated than what it would seem.

 

I mean...
-fast layout with huge amounts of flow
-suits a wide variety of cars (including many already in AMS2)
-holds one of the biggest IMSA races of the calender (again, content already in AMS2)
-lots of history
-generally regarded as one of the more fun circuits to drive
-surprisingly not in very many sims as first-party content (there's iRacing and that's about it except for Forza, and we all know by now that Reiza likes putting in content that isn't really anywhere else)
I get the appeal

1. Mid Ohio - IndyCar/CART and IMSA classic that happens to be my home track. (I'm biased) It also had an RX layout that got used once.
2. Portimão - underrated circuit that 100% deserved it's recent F1 stint.
3. Charlotte Motor Speedway (oval and roval)
4. Lydden Hill (RX & normal layout)
5. Sonoma - an American icon, even if it doesn't provide many overtaking opportunities (short, GP, national, and RX)
6. Hell/Lånkenbanen RX - THE iconic World Rallycross location. The downhill left before the hairpin is the most satisfying corner in all of simracing IMHO. Just send it sideways and get the nose as close to the barrier as possible.
7. Powys Rally (Gravel)
8. Knockhill (GP and RX)
9. Generic short oval (dirt and tarmac)
10. Drift Free roam of some sort
