First, thx to Reiza, fixed stuttering boxcrew, fixed flickering shadows bei medium shadows settings, what we still need is a fix for this headlights problem of the opponent cars, in vr extrem fps drop.

In Indianapolis I had a pitstop (in VR) and when I looked to the left one mechanic was clipping through the wall. Looked weird…:D

    Question:
Is this only for VR users?
I don't have problems on my flat screen with this setup.

Not completely true, my friend has a Valve index and uses a 4090 with an i9 13900k @5.8 GHz and gets steady 90fps at 120hz in the rain at night with max settings .
You do need to put your CPU into the equation.

The headset model also matters. An old Rift and a Pimax 8K have resolutions from different planets.

Sounds like VR has so many variables it is hard to optimise for EVERYTHING

Which is why I would like Reiza to add more information about car characteristics to the UI. :)

maybe there can be a website, created by a fan, which has all info on the cars and has all the tips by the developers. Reiza or a fan can help us to setup the cars because they have such a wide range of vehicles

While I agree this would be a comforting addition within the UI, adding definitive year info to all cars in AMS2 is a somewhat problematic, rabbit-hole adventure. The Caterhams, for instance, are compilations of AMS1 versions with specs and badging from more recent Caterham nomenclature. Moreover, the majority of Formula One cars are generic versions that can arguably be used to simulate +/- around a given season. The Porsche 962 was developed and raced for over a decade--who really knows (other than Reiza) if the version simulated in AMS2, down to the last byte of data, actually existed, or is a combination of various specs across its lifespan? Tidying up all of these nit-picks is probably not on Reiza's immediate to-do list. The trade-off of including generic vehicles as well as a large amount of content from AMS1, all of which is welcome, is a certain degree of vehicular uncertainty. However, in those cases where definitive model or race-season years can be included, such information would be a welcome, if small, boost to realism, especially as AMS2 competes against others sims.

You can contribute at the thread linked below and talk to @oez about maybe helping him manage the website if you're interested: Cars of AMS2 website

I think for the FPS drop problems with headlights
Ram also plays a big part of it to, and not just how much ram you have, speed of it, and (and this makes a big difference) wether you are running one stick, or dual channel! Hell of a difference!
For me going from single stick to dual was like id got a new CPU or GPU, performance increase was incredible for the cost of just £55! Here's the difference it made (all be it different sim though), example is on screen but made all the difference for VR aswell!
