    Time to stop talking BS?

    Daytona temps day/night:
    Jan 20C/9C
    Feb 21C/11C

    Le Mans temps:
    Jun 23C/12C

The whole oval section has a chicane and other than that is full throttle.

Fair enough, well, to be honest i'm just happy to see a big screaming V12 racing again.
The oval part in Daytona is pretty damn big though too, but anyway.

One is 8.5 miles long, the other is 3.5. They do about 85% percent of the lap full throttle in LeMans, they are not really comparable...

What's length got to do with anything? Its 24 hours.

Also, there was the lie about the ambient temperature.

Happy to see a V12 kicking around too. Just hope they are not doing it wrong and leave too soon.

Maybe it's time to stop the BS at your end... If it's not raining Le Mans is generally a bit warmer while quite often Daytona is pretty chilly especially at night which in Daytona is also far longer due to the season.
If you want to dispute the fact that Le Mans is much more demanding than Daytona due to the much higher percentage of full throttle AND top gears coupled with general temps all across the day, then there is little discuss.

24 hours with much more time at full throttle is the main difference. Temps are also generally warmer. There will be exceptions like super hot Daytonas and super rainy Le Mans but generally it is warmer in France in summer than in winter at Daytona. Also the day is much longer in Le Mans so temps drop later.

Not sure what GTR2 did. TBH of that car there were several different iterations all setup by non-official teams. Likely over the time they also reduced the rpm since it was known to bring significant stress to the engine.
Admittedly some of the issues might have been stemming also from the fact that the race transformation wasn't done by the manufacturer but rather a DIY from (reputable) third parties and this may have contributed to some of the issues as well

Mecachrome could find a way to break anything, that's not anything to do with the revs, it's to do with Mecachrome being terrible at making an engine that can last more than 45 seconds.

There is another point about the engine, it probably already have been stressed to hell and back for the road version, maybe they are already confident about reliability. And I dont think they are going to run it at 11k rpm for hypercar.

This is an excellent perspective. The current game is very good. The problem is of course the idea that it's going to be even better and everyone wants to know what that will be.

I understand that they want to make all their licensing announcements at one time. I'm sure that the next announcement will be incredible. And, really, the anticipation before each major release is part of the fun!

As my teenage son might say, let them cook.

The Millennium Falcon easily revved that high and it lasted for ages in Star Wars...
