Now you need to convince me that Canada exists. The only source of information that I have is a documentary series called "South Park".

I don't believe that. You see, Brazilian Stock Car has an official e-sports category. If I'm not mistaken the winner has a chance to drive a real car for a real team. But despite AMS2 being the "official" Stock Car game, with so many seasons and almost all the circuits they race on, e-Stock don't use AMS2. They only use iRacing.

It really doesn't matter what happens to AMS2 next. It can become the most realistic simulator ever in v1.7. Professional racers and professional gamers (or as they like to refer to themselves, professional simracers) won't turn their attentions to AMS2, no matter what happens.
And there are a lot of reasons for that. From very good reasons, like iRacing having a better support since it has much more money than Reiza, to very shi** reasons, like this "simracing elitism disease" as I like to call, where a person has some sort of violent allergies when playing another game that's not iRacing or ACC.

By the way, here's a glimpse on the Stock Car e-Series:

We all are literally driving electric cars in any sim racing game.

For the real thing, electric motors are more efficient than combustion, so, in really near future, only a soundcard will do the vroom vroom.

    It's life. Maybe sad sometimes.

If you actually think they will replace ICEs in your lifetime, much less any time soon, you're very much mistaken.

There's a ban on the sale of diesel/petrol cars from 2035 and onwards in the EU. So chances are pretty high I will actually experience a EV world in my lifetime.

Drive a EV myself at the moment, it might not be the passionate choice, it certainly is the logical and comfortable choice for me personally :)

What the planet hopes for is that the electricity that EVs use ise also green. Otherwise there is no difference. Lot of countries have hydro power plants, some depend more on sun, but others that still burn coal or something to get electricity are polluting the same as ICUs, only concentrated in one place.

Implementing EV physics will be another challenge.
They have different method to produce negative torque. And temperatures of motor and battery is also important for final power, no need to calculate momentum of each engine parts, fuel weight changes, fuel waves and etc.
(Some sentimental people considers the power source : wind or water generated power is smoother than fire or nuclear generated.:D)

A large majority of the companies that initially shifted focus to EVs have in the past year changed focus back to ICEs, as the demand has tanked for EVs. Some even claimed they would produce nothing but EVs by 2030, and that was rescinded. Several EU countries that said they were going to completely do away with ICE production by 2035 have also walked that back, for a multitude of reasons. These companies and countries can give all the platitudes they want, but at the end of the day, logistically, it's just not going to happen. Point being, nobody should worry about losing actual engines with sound anytime soon, they'll be around a long time, especially if synthetic fuel production improves further.

Seems u don't drive very far. I drove 160k pure electric miles and did some long journeys that require several charges. Sitting waiting around for a car to charge so u can finish a journey is not fun, so speed of charging is critical which is why I rate that feature #1. I owned cars that charged slowly and some fast. So again its use case.

Ok, to get slightly back on topic. The current Dedicated Server supposedly was a hindrance to integration in LFM so far, with 1.6 that is changing. What changes could there be to the Dedicated Server?
Will also new settings (e.g. bop ballast) be introduced?
What car classes should be used by LFM?
