My current state of mind

 

I don't understand Spanish very well, but with the auto-generated subtitles, you can tell he really liked the sound. I have to say, the Alpine's sound is fantastic. Beyond that, he doesn't mention much that's new. He talked about 3 new tracks and 12 cars, refined FFB, better physics and slightly better graphics. He also mentioned something new that should arrive later but it's already in the 1.6 menu. He said it should appeal to solo players—maybe he's referring to the career mode? I m not sure cuz the subtitles where a bit funky and my spanish is rusty.

Anyway, his impressions are very good, and this won't help make the wait any easier!

 

Career mode isn't coming with 1.6.

 

I know but he teased something new for solo players, not sure if he was talking about 1.6 or later. Very curious to know more about this.

 

Perhaps something with the custom championships?

 

Maybe, yes, it's cool to know that update 1.6 hasn't revealed all its secrets yet ^^

 

The two Spanish youtubers are basically freaking out about the changes in sound, very happy with the changes in physics/ffb and enjoying the new content, in that order.
The first one says it's almost AMS3.

 

Who is the other one ?

 

Almost AMS 3? Naaaaaa, it's good (damm good) but not that far...yet, by all means get excited, but don't let the leash off that far.

The last screenshot i created over the weekend is a absolute stunner though, 3rd world problem but it's hard to choose if i want to drive or stop and take pics, that's how good 1.6 is for me.

 

Can we assume its won’t come for the last imsa race of the year (this week end).

I don't agree... Default+ and Default are an integral part of AMS2 v1.6 , just like any other feature. For some, this is the single most important part of a sim.
This is the v1.6 waiting room, taking about it's FFB seems to fit like a glove.
(btw, a big chunk of the talk is about DLC cars and tracks, which... are not really part of v1.6, but still belong here)

I also disagree with you Marc. Custom files don't fit here, for sure.
Your post is very informative and totally in line with v1.6 expectations. It fits the thread very well. Don't you agree? Just recheck what we think of it...

The sound got me hyped from the no longer existent overtake stream, I immediately when to play the current one and the sounds is completely different.

 

waiting since March? well, if you've been waiting this long, surely a couple weeks more won't kill you
