Hello everyone! I am pretty sure I know the answer but if I buy the all-inclusive bundle, the base game is already included right? Would like to buy it for a friend and if I add the base game as a separate option, I get notified of overlapping items. Thx!

I didn't say it was bad, people should play what they want. I'm just stating the reality, and the reality is that people are almost exclusively fixated on GT3. The influencers do the rest. The real drivers too (almost only GT3 drivers), and of course everyone advertises their sim or what they get paid for. Then come the videos from "normal" people, and of course they are almost exclusively about GT3. There are very few objective reports. As I said, I don't care what people like or don't like, but it's just a shame when simulations like Ams2 (there are others too) are reduced to just one class

Hello. I'm new to the forum, but I've been a loyal Automobilista2 fan for years. I usually play at 120fps without any problems, but with this latest update, I've dropped to 85fps with a score of 67. It's pathetic...
Please, I don't know what they've done, but they should release an update to fix this. Thanks.

As for me, i mainly play gt3 and modern endurance cars in ams2. I play maybe 25% of my time on classic cars. I can’t find any other sim
with all this tracks and modern endurance cars to play for single player with decent AI (exclude iracing). So this update, its really a welcome one for me.

As I posted earlier in this thread: I don‘t think that changing the clutches down to 2 is still a good idea with the GT3 cars (I don‘t have raced any other class so far after the Update), it seems to cause some snap oversteer on corner exit. With clutches at 6 the car feels very lively and stable, haven‘t had any snap oversteer with it.
Enginge braking can be adjusted to liking, but remember that Max Verstappen relies a lot on engine braking :D

Racing leagues like IMSA, WEC or even DTM seem to have gained nice populartiy recently and with it people love to drive the same stuff in their sim. Does it mean people don't drive other classes? Surely not. There is tons of non-endurance content in the works, and I will absolutely buy all of them and drive them too. But of course popular racing leagues will lead to a popular class in a sim.

Of course content creators are a different topic, it's more of an echo chamber trying to get views = revenue, instead of actually going for what is fun. I think big part is just the ACC streamers and viewers finding a new base and not a proper representation of what people drive.

Yes, both variants of the bundle include the game.

The easiest way to get a "clean" look at what's in the bundles and what they cost in full if you already own some elements is to visit with a browser that's not logged into your Steam account, i.e. use Incognito mode or equivalent.

If you go to the store page and click Bundle Info on the All-Inclusive Bundle, you will see what is included. To answer your question, yes, the base game is included.

    Edit: Corvus Ninja'd me.

In my case, I rarely play GT3 or LMDH. I enjoy single-seaters much more and am a fan of the entire F1 Retro, Classic, and HiTech series.
So far, the experience with this patch has been excellent. I'd love to see the 1989 F1 season cars added. A possible Formula Classic Gen 3.5 (with the legendary McLaren MP4/5) and also the addition of the MP4/2 to Formula Classic Gen 1 from the 1984 to 1986 seasons.
And if it's about making wishes, I would also ask to add classic circuits like Magni Cours, Detroit and Hungary.

Thanks for finally fixing the tires!!! They don't behave like they "snap" when you go over the limit now. The break away characteristics is a lot more progressive.

Complimentary to your comment, I also like to think that I can simulate races of classic games like Super Monaco GP, CART Precision Racing and Geoff Crammond's F1 Grand Prix

With the tires - even though I still believe they have WAY too much slip allowed, for no detriment (until way over at point 'X') - I found that if you use a DECENT FFB profile then you can actually FEEL what the tires are doing, to a very high level that thus helps you run them right to near that max limit with information and confidence that you are not going too far.

With the rFuktor V3.2 (just out) you have FFB strength reduction linked to front AND rear tire slip.... but also with 'tire scrub', which is a vibration to tell you the tire is sliding LATERALLY. With both those bits of information, you have a quite clear picture of what is happening and you learn/train yourself to utilise that information - the levels of each of those FFB outputs, per other car factors - to form a reliable tire feedback system.

The Reiza Default FFB is terrible!! The Default+ is WAY better, but still lacking the required information by a long way... it gives SOME front end slip information, but zero rear end information. It is at least "OK" in most other ways. But you really want/need ALL the information! Thus, so far, rFuktor V3.2.....
I tried a few others but none did a very good job, even though some weren't too bad prior to V1.6.5. I might never have noted (I am not sure) the IMPORTANCE of very good and accurate front and rear end FFB detail, when it didn't matter as much to know that in V1.6.4 or lower.

    Traction Control:
Another thing I found is that the TC level results cover a very NARROW range. I can lap as easily on TC 0 as with TC 7 !! With the same best lap times also! You can feel that TC 0 has SOME more slip, but it it still extremely easy to run full pace. In a real "No TC" 500Hp race car it is WAY different and needs a lot of control accuracy!!
You can also rotate the car just as easily and SAFELY (with 0 or 7) - but 0 should be quite diabolical.
So it seems like the TC is helping quite a bit even at 0. Either that or these GT3 cars only have '150HP' and thus cannot over-drive the rears with no TC set! LOL

"Drift" - might be too strong a word. It is probably better to say "super rotation".
Rotating off the rear to an unrealistic amount.
The GT3's (in AMS2) generally "won't turn" so you need rotation from braking (corner entry) and/or throttle (corner exit). And the exit/throttle side of the sequence is by far the greatest. Sort of to the extent that you use throttle from 1/3 corner onwards - versus normally could not even use it until 1/2 way or so. Rivage at Spa you completely 'hyper rotate' the vast majority of it.
You don't SEE 'drift', but you can tell/feel it is HUGE. It is unseen because the total rotation is 'linear' from front to rear - more of a side slip, but some amount more on the rear than front. Just as you DO in a race car, except it is excessive.

I have driven real world V8 Supercar(s), even if they were '2nd tier' and older models, and they are 500HP region, No TC or ABS, much the same wheel/tires, big rear aero..... overall extremely similar to GT3 (if anything, GT3 is a 'toy' in driving terms compared to them!).... and rotation/drift is MINIMAL for optimal racing. Nothing like you get (for GT3) in most sims - but this AMS2 update escalated that level way higher to unrealistic.

Spa Eau Rouge, flat out, with a LOT of rear slip..... TC0... TC4...TC7.... irrelevant, except the 'right' setting will give you a bit more drive for a better exit and time gain. (lap times low 2:17 - qual or race, it is only fuel load dependent)

LMU is doing a way better job of acting like the real car(s) (though they have a few SMALL issues still) and then that gives you a stark contrast to tell the AMS2 'problems' of excessive tire slip allowed.

Oh yes, the man who only tests GT3s and only at Spa. Additionally, LMU is your "benchmark" for handling :DThat confirms to me again how much people are jumping on this GT3 hype train

I suggest you do not contradict the Adrian Newey of sim racing (and even Adrian is rather more reserved and careful in how he presents his views and opinions), however, you have been TOLD the FACTS, now live with it! :)

This part puzzles me: big rear aero and much the same tires on 2nd tier v8 supercars vs a modern GT3 car?

Anyway, I took a long break from this forum, and it seems I might need to do it again, because I am slightly lost at all this new information and I might say things that make Crimson unhappy.

I think the simple solution would be to just play LMU Peter.

There are enough people in sim racing and in reality these days who have their own opinion about every simulation. Yes, he should definitely stay at LMU, you're right

Not even diff clutches? for me that was a major shift. It's the difference between oversteer on throttle out of the corner to understeer on throttle out of the corner.

Since the update, cars viewed in showroom are overexposed again. I remember before it was the environment map setting but that seems to have gone now? Anyone else getting this? ss185345.jpg
