And after a rather large break this is all the porsches done up to the spa24h for GTWCE 2026, Phase 3 will be Brands Monza and the Spa 24h. Credits obviously go to the rest of IMG too like vasillis jusk racinglegend ditto and raphael

Tested a little bit more with latest version, and it appears as if default liveries in license affected classes are shifted down in order (i.e. generic Lotus 98T is 53 and 54) and IF you DO NOT provide custom livery for slots 51 and 52 (but do provide ones for 53 and 54) there will be only 2 Lotuses with 26 car grid as usual! Haven't tested additional cars in 51 and 52, but if this same system is functional for Retro G2 and G3, it pretty much solves the problem described above. Will need to test more and hope we can finally get those additional slots for 26 grid in 1978 and 1983.

    EDIT2:
Yes, it works in Classic Gen 1. As an example 27 car grid and slots 51,53,54 with custom liveries. So far - full control.
    EDIT3:
And it works with Retro G2. i.e. Lotus 79 slots 51-52,59-64. Brabham BT46B - 53,54. Brabham BT49 - 51,52,53,54. Custom 26 car grid, and everything correct in the game!
The key to control is to fill up generic slots first, which start later in order.

Reiza, you are the best!! :) Do not change anything! Oh, thank you so much! I can finally have proper grids in 1978 and 1983, with latest patch goodies.:cool:

Harsh, without knowing how much work gets done in beta and such conclusions are drawn based on a single issue which is not addressed.

And expecting that every issue, including such njche ones will be all picked up and resolved is never going to happen, even with much more testers.

Just look how long it takes for the wider community to spot some oddities and at the same time you're expecting much smaller group of beta volunteers to do more in less time.

We got to get through BMW, Audi, Lamborghini and Mercedes first. Long process but hopefully people will be able to run a 2026 Spa 24h in ams2, shame on livery slots though so it will have to be split between 3 presets (bat selector)

    Hi everyone,

I’m currently trying to create a convincing silver metallic paint finish for the Ultima GTR Race.

Unfortunately, this car does not offer a SilverMetallic baselivery. The available options are Default, Matte, Chrome, GreenMetallic, RedMetallic and BlueMetallic, so I have been experimenting with BASELIVERY="Chrome" together with custom BODY, SPEC and FRESNEL textures.

So far, I have not been able to achieve a convincing result. Lower Fresnel values increase the metallic/chrome appearance, but they also make the paint look considerably darker. I have tried compensating with a brighter BODY texture and higher SPEC RGB and alpha values, but the result still tends to look either like dark chrome or ordinary light-grey paint rather than proper silver metallic automotive paint.

Has anyone managed to create a good silver metallic or aluminium-like finish using the Chrome baselivery?

If so, I would be very interested to know:

    • Which approximate RGB values did you use for BODY, SPEC and FRESNEL?
    • How did you set up the alpha channel of the SPEC texture?
    • Is it actually possible to approximate silver metallic convincingly with the Chrome material, or is the shader simply not suitable for this?
    • Are there any existing liveries or files I could examine as a working example?
    • Any advice or example textures would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!
