Loading up the game as we speak

First of all, I wanted Road Atlanta because I loved that track in some old PC game, called Le Mans 24 hours (2000). The track felt amazing even with a keyboard.

The reason I want this specific layout so much is for that turn that cuts from one straight line to the other. You just barely lift the pedal to take that right turn, before getting on max gas again. You're at full throttle while steering right for several seconds, and the centripetal force is so great during that long turn that you can feel the car wanting to literally fly sideways, out of the track. Not to mention the track is pretty bumpy on that particular section. So every time you hit a bump, that flying sideways feeling is increased even more.

I love that turn in Assetto Corsa, I love it in iRacing. It should be the same in AMS2. Give that a go in a Formula or a Prototype car, the feeling is amazing. And I haven't experienced such a turn before.

Also, I've been bugging and asking Renato about this layout every chance I had, even before Road Atlanta made it to AMS 2. So yeah, I did wait for a long while

The height differences on this track might have been exaggerated a bit, but that made the track even more fun!

 

Mr. Alonso, I read an overview of your work on track scanning/creation on Overtake.gg along with a blog about your endeavor getting the 2025 Zolder project created. All of it is excellent work and I see what you have done for others and hope that it may also one day be done for me (by seeing it included in AMS 2, ).

 

Hope, that TAA is include in the upcoming update tomorrow!

This is such a fun and exciting update. It definitely revs up the nostalgia!

One question though. Why not put the BMW in the same category as the Milano and the Porsche? I understand FIA GT2 in 2005 was primarily Porsche vs. "Milano," but didn't the BMW run with them in other disciplines (ALMS etc.)?

 

it might also be that M3 was too strong and it wouldnt be realistic if it was bopped to race the Porsche and Milano

 

If Reiza keep knocking it out the park like this the baseball players won't have any balls to play with, like seriously Xmas is 2 months away and yet tomorrow this massive present is gonna be waiting for me when i finish work, cheers chaps

Having the "Milano" brand in the game is one of the best moves you guys have done in a while, this has been one of the most requested additions as far as I'm aware (certainly by me) and having such iconic and historical cars in this game really takes it to the next level. I hope you can keep adding some more to the brand in the next few years! Such a great day for a motorsport nerd to finally have this legendary brand in my favorite sim. Really happy!!

 

I was soo excited for this update specially because of bmw m3 gtr like i said in my previous message,
but today i saw the update and interior of bmw m3 sound really awful, nothing like irl p60 v8. I am sorry but its a no no for me, if an almost 20 year old game (gtr2) can done it right then ams2 should too...
