An Open Letter to the AMS2 Community

Good to see the update out, @Renato Simioni however swinging the pendulum the other way could bring negativity from the opposing side of the spectrum who enjoyed the dev updates but may now miss them, so i have given it some thought and here is my proposal...

Pay me $100 a week to be the OFFICIAL Reiza hype man!

I will do a daily DEV Update live stream (3hrs a day) featuring racing, discussions with the community a "State of The Game" update for the people and more!
I can demonstrate new features, future plans, proposed updates, live community time trials and most importantly... Troll Spanking!

We can go over rumors, ideas, bugs reports and a host of other things people would like to discuss around AMS2 and Reiza etc. all while openly mocking, bashing and humiliating the emotionally unstable trolls!

I will of course dress in full Reiza merch, keep the community engaged, and those who are angry ENRAGED! XD

We will feed the trolls, take their pointless posts and mock them live on stream for our own entertainment, that way the rest of us (those who know how to socially interact and can keep our emotions about a computer game in check) can simply "get on with it" and enjoy the game and have fun... at their expense!

This way the community (and Reiza) can ignore the noise while i spend my time actively bashing, mocking and spanking trolls as part of my daily AMS2 Reiza live stream activities!

Don't remove the stuff we like because of them, hire me to obliterate the BawSacks and teach them a lesson in humility!

Lets have fun at their expense, instead of losing content at ours!

I think it’s fair to say this comment will be stored in the “Department of Reiza Mysteries” alongside many others now until such time Renato posts a big update saying “Oh, here’s 1.7.” And in truth, maybe that’s the best way of making people happy, because surely from now, the only surprises we get with the development of the game will be good ones!

AS a tech Pm (yeah, were are far colleagues ) i don’t only agree at 100% with you, but I only congrats with all of. You for give us this professional communication. I ****ed off some of our clients / customer for really less that I read in this months.

 

Happy 1.6 day everyone. Thanks @Renato Simioni and team, it's been a long wait but I'll bet anything it was well worth it.
I uninstalled the sim this morning ready for a fresh new install to clear out some old mod files that may have been lurking so perfect timing, and on my birthday weekend too.

 

I've been with Reiza since GSC and Formula trucks, backing every project you do.
There really isn't another dev team like yourselves, and that's why you've always had my support.
It's been embarrassing and exhausting watching the social media moans and groans regarding this and every other update, to the point I think you've made the right choice.

Thank you all for everything you do, because you've provided thousands of hours of entertainment for many of us.

 

Will there be another free phase like back then at Le Mans, for example?

sad to hear that you drop the dev updates. But I can understand the reasoning and the frustration on the dev side.

Although I think dev updates are a good practice in modern software development and I feel that with minor changes to the dev updates you (Reiza) maybe get rid of the frustrating part while still have the benefits. A tighter bound between game, devs and community.

It's feels a bit that you are taking the easy way out with the decision. But again, that is fully understandable and fair. In case you are looking for more unsolicited feedback:

Excited for the update, and tried not to be negative, but I feel confident in saying that people weren't upset because expected timeframes were missed, or how long it was taking, but likely the lack of communication after it was known the expected timeframes weren't going to happen. Nobody was mad that things needed more time, it was setting the expectation, letting it pass, then saying nothing for extended periods of time.

Either way, hopefully this works out better for everyone working on the game. It's a shame that it sounds like we won't get any insight on the future until it's almost here, but it can't be fun coming to these forums and seeing some of the more "colorful" messages that would crop up, so it's understandable.

 

LETS GO!
