Try the OpenVR FSR mod - it’s great - FSR for OpenVR

Yup, I know this one, Great job done here, but I don't do SteamVR when I can avoid it (Oculus) ;)

Oh how I hope this becomes a thing for us of the flat screen brigade. It would be the icing on the cake for AMS2!

Nvidia announced ACC getting DLSS today so this is a game changer. If AMS got dlss too then I’d be one happy racer.

DLLS during heavy rain with rainsprays would be a winner, I think. It's the most tanky situation.

Reiza would still need to implement this on their end.

"NVIDIA is releasing the NVIDIA Image Scaling algorithm as an open source SDK that delivers best-in-class spatial scaling and sharpening and works cross-platform on all GPUs. The SDK will be publicly available on GitHub on November 16th for all developers to integrate into their games."

FSR or potentially NIS depending on IQ and ease of implementation is still the best option for now, DLSS only benefits a very very small number of users i.e those that have 20 and 30 series cards. Great if we can have both at some point but FSR would benefit every single user. Whatever the option if we ever get any of them, it's very likely AA needs to be looked at first. Poor AA leads to ****ty image scaling.

Does this not suggest it will also be a setting in the Nvidia Control Panel?

‘NVIDIA confirms that NIS will be available through either GeForce Experience or Control Panel. The former will also allow per-game sharpening tuning through the overlay.’

Just reading further - if you have an Nvidia card - the developer doesn’t need to implement it. So can be used in AMS2.

Tested last night. NIS does work in flat screen but sadly not VR.

ahh that's great, will have to have a play around with it this evening, I assumed from what was written in the article it required implementation in the engine, my mistake.

So this is excellent NIS I mean. I play on a 34" ultrawide 3440x1440 still running a good old 1080ti. With NIS enabled at 77% and sharpening set quite low, 10% in low light condition, the difference in image quality is almost indistinguishable from native, infact I don't think I can tell in game.

It's also allowed me to give a nice bump to settings. Almost but not quite max settings, in combination with @2ndLastJedi 's AA settings the game looks spectacular. I can run a full grids in pretty much any conditions are now possible for me.

Highly recommend anyone with an older card try it out. Initial setup is not intuitive but hopefully that improves with time.

Thanks for the mention (got me back here to see the updates), how is the latest driver performance on the old 1080ti? I always worry about updating being I'm still on the old Pascal also and concerned nVidia will need performance on one of the newer drivers.

When you say my settings, are you talking MFAA and FXAA in NVCP and MSAA low in game?

I've just been updating as they come along and I doubt I would notice much of a difference in performance from one to the next. With the addition of this new scaling option its well worth giving it a go. But then if you're not struggling for FPS currently there's not much need.

These are what I tried this evening, would like to try without fxaa and negative lod bias. But out of the box everything looked great and there was a noticeable reduction in jaggies where headlights were involved.

Enabled NIS at 85% scaling (20% sharpening) getting a bunch more frames - I can't visual see any difference either.

One of the benefits of not running triples but a single 32:9

I thought AMS (PC2) supported triples setup without surround?
