Automobilista 2 2026 Development Preview

I waited until this steam sale to get the Pt.2 Supercars pack, took a break from sims in between too.

Glad I did, it's easier to appreciate them when not comparing to all our lovely racing machines

Yep, it's a bit of a bummer that Reiza seems to have forgotten all about its Brazilian roots. One of the reasons I bought their products over the years was because of the Brazilian content. For someone like me who lives in Canada, I did not know anything about these cars and tracks and I discovered some really fun content. I wish the new stock cars and Nascar Brasil made their way into the sim.

 

TCR Brasil would be nice as well.

 

As for me, I would like to have the complete set of tracks in order to perform a F1 season, possibly of different era. Playing with the official tracks and rules with AMS phisics and IA, maybe adding realistic liveries and names would be a dream!

 

Realistic names and liveries will never happen dur to licensing and the fact that people like me who care are already downloading the liveries and names on overtake.

Regarding the tracks, it would be great publicity for them if they could actually complete a full set from a season, for example F1 1993 is missing only 2 tracks, Magny Cours and Hungaroring(as long as one tolerates some differences between the exact layouts used in game and in the exact year).

 

Yeah, with real names and liveries i implicitly intended applied with "unofficial" mods. Already now they have done great work! we just miss the complete set of tracks from Reiza, as you said, some years are almost there. For modern F1 we miss a bit more.

 

Given that Reiza holds the Ligier license, is there any chance we might see the brand's F3 and F4 cars? They would be a great addition to the lower-tier open-wheel categories, which feel a bit neglected.

I've only been around since the summer sale but this is the most patient I've seen us all be with a DLC drop.

I guess this is growing up

 

If Reiza has taught me one thing... it's patience

 

Reiza has released several endurance DLCs, so that probably helped people endure the wait for news and new content.

 

Perhaps maybe it is what the easter bunny has for us as well! The sheer breaking news

Renato’s post says the first big expansion isn’t until Q2. I thought the end of the post was alluding to an update to the road map by the end of March? Why do we think there is content dropping this week?

 

He didn't say that there won't be any updates or content expansions until or after Q2. What he actually wrote is that the next major milestone, Version 1.7, is planned for the end of Q2. This does not mean that there won't be any content or smaller updates until then; he explicitly stated that they will continue their rhythm of releasing updates every one to two months.

 

I think we’ll just have to wait for more information in the coming days

 

The Dev Preview post has been edited, originally it said the 1st DLC the Formula 2000-10's would be arriving sometime in March. The Date part has since been removed.
