I'm very hyped about this content, CanAm, Grp 5, lemans sports cars, old dtm & btcc is the content of dreams for me.

I didn't get chance to read through the rest of the updates btw so it's not like i'm not excited about that either, i think i'm most hyped about this sim more than any other.

Exactly, why does it matter what people want to do in single player?

Except that the save feature will have some hard technical limitations (+ some caveats) probably making saving "anywhere" impossible. There was a recent thread discussing, about "would you like the ability to save races even if it had some limitations ?" but I cannot find it.

The limitations - at least that's what can be expected after following this game for more than half a decade by now - will most likely be related to Livetrack and track state and weather being different when you restart a session compared to when you left off. Livetrack is what leads to some unusual compromises in AMS2 in general, eg the inability to skip ahead in replays. Everything else pertaining to the mid-session-save should encounter the same difficulties or non-difficulties as in any other game.

Main thing I'm unsure about is how they will make the rejoining process work.

I am quite satisfied with most things, but what other tracks can be expected? I see that F1 tracks from the 80-ies, 90-ies are surprisingly well represented. No problems there.
But... Indycar still lacks several important tracks. I only wanted one track from IMSA schedule, and that's missing - streets of Detroit. Despite that current layout is not the best, that could be used in F1 of the 80-ies, and even in CART (89-91) schedule... + Portland, MidOhio... I liked Belle Isle. And that's it. From F1 I only miss Mebourne.

I appreciate the "reflections" portion, Renato. Perfectly aligns with this middle-aged casual with limited rig time's take on AMS2. I try to spread my love evenly across many sims, old and new, but AMS2 always seems to capture most of my time over the last couple of years. Just a fun sim with a spread of content not found anywhere else outside of something like a heavily modified AC and with AI, while imperfect like most, that is among the best to be had in sim racing in my unprofessional opinion. Being able to throw the VR HMD on and bounce between eras, classes, tracks and vehicles spanning such a huge spectrum with minimal effort and fuss is just awesome.

Very happy to see that Reiza is healthy and on the front foot heading into 2026. Very much looking forward to the team's efforts this year!

I've seen some folks throw some dream content commentary out in this thread, so I'll just say AMS2 and the MX5 Cup series would be a match made in heaven and would align great with the existing racing systems and tracks! A man can dream.

I would also like to see Brno, Portimao, Zolder (current and historical), Zandvoort (current and historical), Monaco (historical), and Rouen included as routes.

Since DTM class 1 car is about to be released, I think SuperV8 can be replaced with real V8 Supercars. Although the current model is not much different from reality, it still has some room for improvement

I would suggest not skim reading the dev notes , DTM content isn’t planned to be released first some time yet . There’s a lot to come before.

The Supercars License is not easy to get , they have a convoluted competition ownership and some factory backed teams which have a say, many title sponsors on the go which can change from round to round and season to season, constantly changing media rights etc etc.
it’s not a very settled structure.

Having one unofficial version of a defunct brand car is one thing, but to do the series justice, there needs to be representation of brands like Ford Australia for older Falcon, and Ford Global or whoever for Mustang .
The New Supra and Camaro would be perhaps easier to achieve with an existing relationship between Reiza and Toyota Gazoo racing and GM. But they are still individual models and need to be obtained with support from the Gen 3 homologation team, as these are a bespoke car class .

There’s quite a lot of balls to juggle even if Supercars were even interested in looking past iracing , which they have an established relationship with .
I suspect they are also a little bit greedy or optimistic about their own value.

I wonder if these new options would allow us to create something like a "Gold, Silver, Bronze" divisions within the same category, like ACC does. It would be a nice addition for online leagues.

I'm very excited for the new cars and tracks. But what I'm really looking forward is the implementation of all of these new options. It's gonna increase the immersion so much.

Understood, for me, having only the V8 Supercars from existing licensed brands is already great. Besides the Chevrolet Gen3 race car, Holden's classic race cars are also excellent, and both of these brands are under GM.
I would really like to see the SuperV8 replaced by an actual Holden Commodore V8SC. Of course, an even better option would be to release another DLC.

Holden was a bastard child of GM, and the big wigs in USA headquarters would barely be able to tell you a Holden model they know off the top of their head .
And of course , Holden is no more , so there’s so there’s not really a clear line to follow.
Yet it is a moot point, unless the Supercars licence can be obtained.
and would that even be retrospective to being able to use previous cars that would have been under a different series ownership.?

Reiza would probably have more chance of getting somewhere with Supercars if they offered to create and publish a standalone title for both PC and Console. As the history of Supercars in gaming will tell you that’s what they want they think their series should have .
    I’d buy it …

What's missing, in my opinion, is AI strategy management during races. I'd really like to see different strategies employed during races: earlier or later pit stops, different tire choices. This would add a layer of strategy to the racing experience.
