So much to be grateful for with this update.

So glad that I picked this sim. Much of the competition recently have been dropping the ball and Reiza meanwhile is consistently improving everything and sticking to their plans.

    Absolutely fantastic, great times ahead

I have to agree. AMS2 right now is comfortably the best sim out there and the 2026 upgrades will make it even better.
I'm only into single player sim racing, multiplayer doesn't interest me one bit. I was looking forward to Project Motor Racing but it has far too many issues. I really tried to like LMU but it just doesn't do it for me, same with Raceroom, I just don't like any of the cars in Raceroom plus the lack of dynamic weather.

Reading through the dev log everything looks amazing, but, I hate to be "what about this feature" guy, haven't seen anything regarding AI using different tyre compounds. Can we expect this feature in 2026?

I have the same fear, but Renato did post that there's a lot of stuff not written on the preview that's being worked on. Lets cross fingers that the AI using different tire compounds is one of them.

If Paddock Club membership reopens, would the number of slots be limited or would it be open to everybody willing ?

Definitely agree. The game's really close to being able to do a believable full schedule for basically any F1 era and Zandvoort with the original and current layout is one those that would kill multiple birds with one stone.

Also Paul Ricard and Hungaroring with one or two historic layouts / skins would fill a big void. Two historic layouts for Monaco would be awesome as well. One with the sidewalks still lining the track and the 80's - 90's layout. If we're getting 70's sports cars as well just doing more historic skins for the existing track list in general would be a nice touch.

Have to say even though I haven't posted here previously, apparently I don't have to because the devs read my mind regardless  Improving the AI and being able to edit car performance to create better AI files, skin packs and offline championships is just what the game needs to improve the single player experience.

Damn, 2026 looks very promising. This is the game that I bought every dlc without any regrets and doubt. And I feel like a spoiled rich kid getting lots gifts when the game have a new update. I pray for to see some Mazda, Volvo and Opel(Astra, Calibra especially) cars in the game and I think that game have the potential to become something like Gran Turismo 4. We really need something like that for PC in my opinion. Because the game already have lots of solid tracks but of course I don't understand how hard is developing a game but just dreaming about it makes me excited:D.

I think most of us are here for the single player, as Renato said. I love how Reiza have focused on their niche and for example developed the AI. AND that they have leveraged that for the multiplayer option of small numbers of friends and an AI field. That is a really insightful way to fit and expand that same niche of player base.

The decision to build the content and add career mode last is perfect. When it lands it will be the career mode that has been missing for so long. I'm so down for all of this news.

Great team, great community, great sim.

I sincerely hope that Reiza will expand or simplify the modding tools. AMS2 can become AC1! Keep up the good work, and thank you all for your efforts. Mking

I don't think we will ever get a sim with a better mod support than AC1. If I recall correctly, the engine AMS2 runs on isn't exactly mod friendly either, so don't get hopes too high

I really hope not. One of the best things of AMS2 compared to AC1 is that it's not needed to mod it. It's amazing as it is and the quality is consistent, in single and multiplayer. AC1 is for me a complete disaster mainly BECAUSE of modding. When I tried to configure everything properly, it looked finally good after configuring it for countless hours, it looked great in 1 offline track with a specific weather scenario. Then I joined an multiplayer server with a other track: everything ruined and it looked like a game from the stoneage and I had to download/update a dozen mod's again. So please no, let AMS2 stay as it is. Some car modding is cool, maybe the possibility to add custom tracks but for the rest: no modding.

You're right about the single player. AMS2 is by far the best single player experience in sim racing.
For me multiplayer is only worthwhile if you're into online league racing or with people you know, otherwise even with safety ratings and bans, there are too many bad drivers who spoil multiplayer. Never been my thing.

I wonder what they'll do for dirt...to me, it seems like a great area for silhouette cars and oval tracks.

From an outside perspective, it sure looks like the cars haven't changed much over the decades.

(going down the dirt racing rabbit hole on Google to confirm)

Yup, they haven't changed much. Add a Midget, sprint, modified and late model from the 60's, a modern version (go ahead and add 2 modern sprint cars, with and without a wing) and call it good. Outside iRacing, this would be one of the only sims to feature these cars.

The only thing I can really think to say is thank you. The new content path looks incredible!

Can-Am and mid-2000s Formula content are huge highlights—these are areas that are seriously underrepresented in other sims when it comes to first-party developer support. With the addition of the Porsche 917 and historic Le Mans*, I can officially retire PC2 to the dust bin!

What’s been outlined so far is genuinely extraordinary. I don’t want to get too optimistic—development always comes with challenges—but the direction of this roadmap really shows how well you understand your audience and how closely you listen to community feedback.

As a 42-year-old with a family, a full-time job, and a home to maintain, I truly appreciate that this simulation exists in the market. It’s clear the team shares the same passion for motor racing—both historic and modern—that so many of us do.

Looking forward to 2026 and spending even more time in the rig.
    Cheers!
