Palm tree rebuttal videos incoming.
Jesus, the sound of these things is a glorious cacophony
If Reiza or anyone else here asks me to remove my video, I will remove it as soon as I read about it. I thought, however, that we are allowed to share content of the beta branch. Both - the C8.R and the Daytona Road Course - are part of the "public" beta branch.
If Reiza had mixed something up and these contents shouldn't be in the "public" beta branch I will remove my video as well, of course.
Edit: BTW, the BMW is not available in the "public" beta branch - only in the "notformedia" obe. ;-)
AI still driving side by side too much, probably to make it seem like they’re fighting each other, but it’s not very realistic if 2 cars spend half the lap side by side.
Well done everyone.
Now we know it will take 5 days to fix the palm trees.
We were sooo close....
fair comment, it is as said a rough cut vid and adjustments have been made to AI already since video and fine tuning will continue I'm sure.
What about gamepads, what is new?
funny how everyone is uninstalling pcars 2 lol. I am RE-installing it.
the game is not designed for use with a controller.
You'd have the be a f-ing lunatic to use a controller in this game. I mean - I do when I can't be buggered plugging in the wheel, keyboard or mouse, but thats different.
teehee. could try a gamepad extender to get more degrees across the traversal
Disagree all you like, I want facts. Its just like when you win races in forza horizon (not forza) with the controller but you have no hope with a wheel.
Every minute the company spends on going for controllers is wasted revenue.
Probably you never tried the AMS1 gamepad support...it is very good and let you fight the wheel guys without advantages for both sides, at that point the only real difference is who is behind them...the driver...and I see someone winning with a keyboard too.
So even if I will not click the "disagree" button on you post I have a clearer vision of what kind of simracer you are...the elitists one...meh
Comments like these only show how little extremists/elitists care about the community. Luckily people over at Reiza are smart enough to look past such comments and opinions and work unbiased.
As for me, I work night shifts, and sometimes when I have nothing to do, I plug in the controller and drive around. Also, I know for a fact that everyone starts out sim racing with a gamepad, because no one wants to spend 400$ on something which they don't know if they will like. If gamepad support brings in more players, it is only better for us as a community because those players will at some point upgrade to a wheel.
It's a "SIMULATOR" as in "mimic real life". If you want to play with a gamepad, buy a console. Let the PC people get the best wheel FFB experience possible and don't waste Reiza's time for a tiny sliver of the user base who are trying to pretend "a tennis racquet is a shovel".
Oh Jesus this again.
Surely people should play with what input device works for them? As for game pad development being wasted revenue,,, two words... ‘console release’. ‘Elitists’ are definitely the worst thing about sim racing.
Edit: Even if you really believe that nonsense, why bother posting it? It won’t have any influence on Reiza,’s development plans, but it probably will make a load of people that aren’t as fortunate as you feel bad. Such a conceited thing to post (and think).
Consoles alone are not really an argument for gamepads, since wheels from logitech and thrustmaster, both are tailored to work with consoles.
Even back in the days of "Need for Speed III" and "Viper Racing" (1998) and LAN multiplayer parties, we did buy a cheap spring centered wheel with simple shifter and crude pedals along with the Game CD. Why, because everthign else felt unantural when you're already used to driving a car. Nobody in the Combat Flight Sim scene is discussing the need for a HOTAS... Racing Sims are the Combat Flight Sims of driving.
Gooood morning Europe!
Good Morning, Reeposter.
I see some people are cranky about the delay.
All I have to say is that if someone wants to play with a damn Donkey Kong Bongo or Guitar Hero controller and it works for them, let them.
No need to go about calling each other the E-word.
There is nothing to discuss about it. Gamepads are an officially supported control device by the game and it's absolutely legit to ask for improvements.
The E-wording in this case is "excluding" and excluding people because of their choice of control is something really weird.
Don't forget, that we're all still playing a video game.
I expect all these elitists to use the latest DD wheel and the latest pedals on a full motion rig. With VR and no HUD. If you want realism do it good
Sometimes, i love, giving me some good HUD screen pollution in a race.
My comment about console release was regarding the previous mention of wasted development money.
