Reduced grip on racing line rubber when wet is not currently simulated in AMS2.

    Emphasis on "currently"

    Maybe I wasn’t so optimistic
I’ve always thought the Madness engine would be able to do this out of all game engines

It does other elements so well already. It's not far off, and I've been impressed by how well it simulates a drying track. Especially with longer races and gradual transitions in the weather, you get that great strategy element of when to risk switching to slicks.

Side note: I'm curious what the dirt/gravel track evolution will be like. In PC2 you could see particles getting thrown off line, but you didn't get near the track development of dirt surfaces in iRacing. PC2 still felt more realistically bumpy, where iRacing just felt like it was ice of differing grip levels, but some tracks like Loheac were a bit unrealistic in how much gravel they had.

Awesome. This will be a great addition. Any possibility that the feel of a rubbered track vs green track will improve? I can see the difference, even though I wished there was a bit more of visible rubber when the track is fully rubbered, the feel is not really noticeable for me.

    Do others feel the same?

Same as you, I can see the evolution of the road and going off line gets more slippery, but the track doesnt get faster imho. Dirt Rally 2 does a great job in how much more grip you get when you are down the starting order.

I can however, feel that some tracks are slippier than others, Hockeheim for instance has very low grip in my case.

Great Renato! The dedication of this team has no limits. That will be epic, this will add much more depth to the wet races and racing in changeable conditions!

That's because only 1% of race cars in the history of racing have such soft and fragile rain tires that will overheat and "melt" at the slightest provocation. Most people (and racers and race series) want safe rain tires that promote competitive racing, not something you have to tip-toe around the track with. Modern F1 does not represent the norm in racing (history).

In most series in the wet, you would still want to follow the "normal" fastest line unless there is water build-up (puddles) on the line. Thunderstorm-flooded tracks are just a "fantasy" feature as red flags would be out if it ever happened for real. I personally will not spend time testing cars in these outlier conditions...same for sub-freezing temperatures or snow, but both of those have already been eliminated from the options.

There are more factors IRL as well: are there support series, how long are the races, do they use similar rubber, has it rained in a previous session, etc. The whole Texas IndyCar weekend this year the talk was about "building that second groove" through practice. It took half the field running a sub-optimal line to build enough rubber to make the high line viable.

I heard about interesting fact about tyres from my friend who working as mechanic in korean stock car race.
(korean stock car has started by imported brazilian stock car chassis)
There are open tyre rule. many tyre companies are participating in korean stock car race: Hankook, kumho, nexen and more.
each tyre's debris are not sticked to other compounds and this can make damage to other cars using other tyre when drive over it.
he said that rubber debris can destroy wheelhouse, fender and side mirrors too.
    so i have a question..
is there any characteristics like this in debris in AMS2?

I remember being on a track day with my Vette and in the second half of the day I started hearing some very strange noise that got louder as I drove faster. I was worried at first, but soon realized it was rubber pick up that was splattering into my wheel wells. It was quite loud at high speeds. I'd never heard that noise being mentioned anywhere before nor really since.

this sums up the UI perfectly for me, the little bugs should have been fixed but overall i think the ui is fine, much better than most racing games out there

physics and especially multiplayer architecture should take priority right now way above the ui in my opinion
