What do you guys think will be the release date?

Although Renato mentioned late May release for Barcelona just in time for the F1 race (4 June), part of me thinks Renato wants to roll out the formula car physics and the Formula USA 2023 in time for the Indy 500 (28 May). That would make a lot of sense. What would be even more perfect is that if the release is early enough, then someone could combine the Formula USA 2023 physics with the Dallara IndyCar mod before and in time for the big 500. Nothing beats driving the combo in anticipation of the race, rather than a few days after.

what a calm site... in two weeks we have new content and some adjustments. I'm sure that, as always, the wait will be worth it. I'm also sure that I'll be impatient. In any case, I can't wait longer to get my hands on the circuit of catalunya(in a real simulator). @Renato Simioni, any news you can tell us about the off-road DLC to whet our appetite before June?

Ams2 will be better rallycross sim then dirt rally 2 or project cars 2, but will lydden hill be in ams2?

 

Hope custom tracks arrive so we can have rally stages (without Co driver will be fun)

 

There will be sand and dust on the ground

 

And hopefully snow

 

If Lydden Hill makes it into AMS2 I hope it comes with the new banked T1 and the little jump right after.

 

I'm not so much worried about RX tracks that were in Project Cars 2 - hopefully we'll get mods with the most popular tracks such as Lydden, Knockhill, Hell, Brands Hatch classic…
…and instead Reiza can spend time on RX tracks that are not featured in other sims.
There's lots of good material to work with already, e.g. old AMS1 content and all the Premium tracks that have RX layouts (Nürburgring being my favorite RX layout of those)

 

So since we're talking about RallyCross tracks for the Adrenaline DLC I went around and listed all the possible RX/Offroad and Super Trucks tracks based on if the base track or specific layout itself is present in either AMS. I have marked tracks only present in AMS1 with a *:

That's a very solid collection if you ask me, also the nice thing about Super Trucks tracks is that they can be cheap to produce, for instance Spielberg in AMS1 is basically the short layout with a couple of added ramps.

 

something I'm curious is if the rallycross cars might include new brands/licenses

would be odd to have rallycross without a ford, subaru and or some other brands

I imagine a VW car either the polo or beetle is almost guaranteed

 

Tbh, DiRT Rally 1-2 RX physics wasn't that great. It handled gravel well, but tarmac physics was just bad. I remember Coley calling out how unrealistic the level of drifting was when he commentated on one of the E-Sports events.

Pcars2, for all it's flaws, was somewhat believable even with non-RX cars. Take the EVO TME around, it feels just like you'd expect a rally based road car would. After revisiting PC2 RX and comparing it between DiRT and iRX, there are some weak points, but it holds up surprisingly well. I wish that there was a bit more evolution in the track surface.
