Indy 500 practice footage has me wondering what a fictional, "new chassis + the intended bigger engine + hybrid" F-USA would be like in AMS2. I know the plan is to still run hybrid on ovals, but wasn't the talk about making energy harvesting a manual process? (At least on ovals)

Maybe something like that wouldn't show benefits outside of a long form, several fuel stint race.

Maybe hybrid could act as a p2p like in btcc? Idk how any energy could be harvested at indy unless they go for MGU-H

From what I understand, and I could be misremembering, the plan is to use MGU-K and manually dump some speed to build up the battery. It seems a bit dangerous to IMHO to suddenly have slight rear braking at 220mph, but I guess in very low amounts it could work. An MGU-H would make more sense, but I would guess that would add cost and complexity to the hybrid unit.

It's a shame the 2.4 engines got cancelled. The series is due for some new tech, but I just hope we still get the great racing product whenever they due upgrade.

    Where cheese? beyond Alien?

Also Moza owns the CCP, Cammus don't thought and driving on salt on iRacing makes you faster.

AMS2 Content just ripped from PC2
not really just a theory, but largely true, for most stuff that wasnt in AMS1, car wise that is.

    Iracing just a NR2003 mod
could be, basically same dev team, and when you know that Call of Dutys use an ancient Quake Engine for a long time, while having huge improvements, plausible.

I think Jimmy Broadbent was paid to dunk on WRC, not on AMS2. Dont know who would want to damage AMS2.

VSync makes you slower seems plausible as well, cause it already feels very different to play with VSync with a controller

You know, not only AMS2 is PC2 content ripped, but similarly everyone knows that Americans never went to the moon? And that the Twin Towers attacks were not terrorist made, but all a conspiracy by FBI and CIA.
    It's all well proven.

Jimmy wasn't the only one to dunk on WRC. Even Niels Heusinkveld criticized its horrible throttle model. To be fair, their stages are amazing, but it was a weird area to "cut corners." Don't cut Sammy!!!

Conspiracy theories do not work well without a few true facts. You need a least one solid foundation for your house of cards.

I have read many times that v sync introduces a small delay with steering inputs. Is this not true?

V-Sync adds some delay to the input response, this isn't nonsense. But it's debatable whether it makes you slower on track or not because it depends on the person using it being accustomed to it.
