Hard to understand that accident, the Dacia was just there minding it's business and got blasted by the Porsche, hopefully the driver will be ok and they can maybe prepare another Dacia for next year...

Regarding NLS and GT3 (SP9) cars. While thosenow get the most attention, they are the minority in that Racing series. Since a lot of those teams are run by privateers, GT3 classed cars got more and more unaffordable. Take for instance the 4 motors team, one of the members is a german hip hop star of the late 90's. They have to step down gradually from Porsche GT3 to 911 GT3 Cup and Cayman GT4 due to cost.

The mainstay of the field consiste of BMWs in all kinds of TC configs.

And those teams figting to stay in the series have to fight for their right to be there against a increasing factory supported teams that bring M4 GT3, Audi R8 LMS and Ferrari 296 GT3 to the track.

There is for years a lot of struggle and stirup in the whole NLS organizer team, just lastyear the whole board of directors "RETIRED". Incident like that are now more and more common and the number of severe accident is rising in that series.

Your problem is you are measuring decisions based on results, not the expected outcome. At such different speeds the question is not if an accident is going to happen, but when. Since they've been running since 2007, the statics say once in every 17 years. Now you tell me if that's an acceptable risk or not.

"the race organizers wouldn't allow the car, or the production car class as a whole" - the history is full of things the race organizers allowed and that were forbidden later.

I have an amazing idea.. because Project Cars is a dead serious, why not license every circuit they have available? Project cars 3 had really good tracks..

Assuming you're serious, every licensing deals SMS acquired for the project cars series is in EA's hands now. For Reiza to license all of project cars 3's tracks would require to renegotiate and repay everything. Ian Bell's connections might help Reiza to get into contact with tracks and negotiate with them but that's it. As for the original tracks in the PC series, they are EA's intellectual property now.

Tldr: it's a not of work and expensive, if possible

In my opinion the slower cars seems to be a lesser safety problem than the service trucks and vehicles going around the track WHILE the cars are racing, this is a tragedy waiting to happen. I know this happens because the nuburgring have little access points for these vehicles and also they are trying to avoid full course yellow, but it's not acceptable anywhere.

The first run with the Dacia at NLS was in July 2020!
Maybe with 2007 you mean the Dacia Logan CUP, but that has nothing to do with multiclass races at the Nordschleife.

The one thing that should at least be done is trying to close all those openings on the bottom of the recovery trucks. Those could be very dangerous as race cars could actually end up "submerging" under those trucks in case of accident making it very dangerous.
But for the rest there is really no way to avoid it due to the nature of the track

the whole organization is a big joke, last couple of years they stopped the race cause of rain at night, but they still allow a way too slow meme car on the grid. The difference on pace is too big for a Track with so many blind corners and extremely reckless and bullish GT3 drivers.

This seems to be the rule for the faster classes in endurance theses days, the GTP drivers in IMSA are an example too.

had some fun with Mods in PC2, but after that i jumped into the DPI in Spa as well, and the handling is just alot better and satisfying in AMS2. PC2 itself would have been THE game of the ages with AMS2 handling. Spa in AMS2 also seems to be more close to reality, whereas Spa in PC2 seems more close the F1 game Spa, which isnt really that great as far as accuracy.

You also notice that PC2 didnt have the same Hybrid deployment settings as AMS2 does now since the Formula Ultimate.

    That's not how licensing works.

@stealthradek's party tongue-in-cheek reply says it all. Irrelevant what SMS or EA or Straight4 licenses. Whatever Reiza wants to license requires a separate agreement and terms ($$).

Also, to clarify another common misunderstanding on the forum, there is no such thing as, for example, "the BMW license," unless someone pays a lot of money to literally have any BMW they want. Deals are almost always for individual vehicles, or, individual vehicles within a broader portfolio, with payments based on what is actually put in the game.

had the worst and the best experience in AMS2 today.
worst was with the Reiza CARTs at Indianapolis,
best was with Aussie Race Cars at Gateway and the Hot Cars (with the Golf) at Cadwell.

the sliding with the Carts is just terrible, and at the start you have no chance, cause at the start when you are in first gear, you will either spin out immediately or lose all your spots when you immediately shift up. but those small cars on tight tracks are brilliant. people should try that infield, its great and challenging.

CART cars at ovals are known to be at "disregard" level currently...
