The more the merrier, I say. EA has been hogging the F1 licence for so long and only now got around to releasing in VR (6-7 years later than other sims). Competition is good for the customers.

    Thx Renato for this info.
Do single-seaters like the 2005 F3000s and GP2s still have an active license?
There are many almost historic single-seaters that can give beautiful sensations when driving without having to face major licensing problems.
    Or maybe am I wrong? :) :)

Curious as to what discussion happened previously. We're they open to the license and then backed out, only to want back in after the F-USA 2022 announcement? I don't see this as a sign the Motorsport Games title got canned, but I really wonder why the sudden change?

If they were upset about the "fictional car" being too close, why was there no action against RaceSimStudio or VRC? I know IndyCar has been more open with the license, so hopefully Indy/Reiza get it sorted.

Edit: I wonder if this means IMS might get an official release? The two licenses seem to go together, so bump up the price of the DLC, add Indy, add maybe the IndyLights car and make it the same price as Pt. 1 or Pt. 2?

A partial release would allow feedback to possibly bring some adjustments in the future. There may be the possibility of replacing the F-USA 2022 with an American Stock Car (fictitious Nascar). The added circuits are raced by Nascar as well.

EA just acquired CM recently. It is CM who has been the only one with the F1 license, and it was CM who refused to implement VR for so long. Ultimately it is also F1 who can decide if they want multiple developers to have access to their license. EA sucks, but blaming them right now is just incorrect.

    Thanks for the update Renato.

Just my 2p/2c, but personally I'd much rather have access to the rest of the content without the FUSA, which I personally don't care for anyway. Looking forward to the rovals and the new tin-tops (esp the Merc GT4).

Obviously if anything in the base game patch (ie not content) isn't ready then happy to wait for it, just keep us in the loop please.

Wonder if this impacts on the “surprise” we were getting??? Not a biggie for me as I’m not really an open wheeler fan and still very much looking forward to 1.4

    regards

My vote would be to release the partial DLC for a lower cost and then have the FUSA 22 separate for a few extra dollars when you can and of course free to everyone who has already purchased it through the season pass etc..

I see this more as MSG going

"Hey indycar, this DLC is going to cut into this game we're making for you"

And Indycar, knowing full well MSG will be insolvent by Christmas and that the official indycar game isn't going to come out is like

"Hey Reiza, can you hold off a few months"

I would suggest they sell the pack for the same price (you get wwt raceway and fontana for the same price as wwt raceway alone in rf2). It would still be good value without the indycar. If the indycar cant happen, then Reiza could whip together a stock car to include in the pack

Definitely good news. I hope everything goes well. It is not a big deal for me in principle if the car is licensed or not, but it is definitely good for the sim, since many people cares and I want AMS2 user-base to grow. Also, I guess this kind of partnership could mean access to data to have feedback to adjust the car, and we can also speculate that this would make easier to license more tracks, like the dreamed Indy.

For me, the huge short-term question now is: are cautions a 1.4 feature or a USA Pt3 feature?

EDIT: I was referring to the release, of course the cautions will be available as a base-feature once released, but perhaps they could release 1.4 with no cautions, and then release them in 1.4.X with the DLC (in case it is delayed). Anyway, thanks for the info

A v1.4 feature. Features never come in paid DLC, that just wouldn't work.

It might be an option to release whats already there in the racin usa dlc part3, but until there is more clear about the F Usa 2022 car/Indycar, make the DLC freely accessible, to prevent people from having to buy a dlc which isnt complete yet, and still give everyone the option to use it.

Here's hoping the conversation wasn't 'cease and desist' in nature :)
Really looking forward to 1.4 regardless!
