Update will come out tomorrow morning Brazilian time. So I might download it while watching Qualifying at Spa.

I wonder if in game performance is affected by moving AMS2 to a slower drive or just loading times (I'm not too bothered about longer loading times so long as in game performs the same). And if performance is impacted, then if anyone knows a way to move just non-performance impacting folders to a different drive, like it is in some other games ?

Nice that the TimeTrial leaderboards have already been reset, but i'm not happy with my ingame rating being dropped from S to U, it seems that i am not the only one currently, will this return after the update?

it might be wise to send out some communication about this in advance though.

Nah, I don't see the drive being that big a player in overall performance of the title...
Once you load into a session, it should all pretty much run of your RAM, without too much load-in in between, unless you're on like 4/6 gigs of it, but even 8 gigs should be sufficient, it's what I had in the days of pCars2.
And that's the only thing I foresee, load-in stutters if and when, they might be a little more severe compared to loading it from a decent ssd.
If you have 16gb ram it should be the loading times that increase marginally, if that.

The biggest benefit to having the game on a fast read drive is for asset loading, including on track when a car gets damage and the game needs to load the crumpled body panels into the GPU memory, reducing the length of some freezes.

Its entirely possible that management can be inept at producing and brilliant at selling.

If anything, you can look to the Madoff situation in the states to see that Bernie Madoff lured several millionaires - otherwise successful businesspeople - into investing in a sham scheme. This is not rare either.

If the offer to BTCC/Indycar/Nascar/WEC was lucrative enough, the base of rF2, and the fact that each license made the next license easier to obtain, b/c it established credibility, means they looked right past the internal shortcomings of MSG. (those firms are still on the hook for insufficient due diligence)

Why would Dmitri and Co do this? Well, at the start, Dmitri saw an opportunity to make some money in the "heating up" arena of sim racing. For a couple of months I'm sure he thought he could pull this off and started upselling. At some point, he realizes that the infrastructure isn't there and has to start being more forthcoming in the quarterly reports. I don't think he WANTED it to fail, it was just oversold and they have not communicated this realization internally. All the while, he (and other upper level mgmt) will keep the party going b/c all the while they're clipping $200-400k in salary. And a guy like Dmitri always thinks the next opportunity is just around the corner and if this fails, he'll bounce back. (An enviable trait among serial entrepreneurs) I would say the majority of folk, like some staff who may have already left, are not comfortable with that uncertainty and have looked for sturdier pastures after seeing the endgame in sight.

Ultimately, Dmitri and Co are salespeople, and they just happened to infect our simracing universe. His next gig might be selling sham solar panels or a shiny new EV battery technology, whatever's "hot" and has buyers who may not be able to recognize "too good to be true" because they want it to be true so badly.

Were TT already reset? What if someone does a time now unachievable after the update?

Yep, I had freezes before moving to an SSD. It also happened to other sims, not just AMS2. After moving all to the SSD everything works like a charm. It was a surprise to me how impactful it was.

My goal if they overhaul the safety rating system is to be the first person to hit negative numbers
