They already said about 15:00 GMT (5h from now) and since I live in GMT I guess I'm just gonna find other stuff to do in the meantime
Enjoy your other hobbies or get things you have to do done before the new update consumes us all :p

Bit confused by the usage of GMT considering daylights saving time, is it planned for 15:00 UTC (=GMT) or UTC+1 (=BST)?

GMT is still GMT. It's a constant so shouldn't cause confusion.

The damage has already been done. His core fan base won't touch it because he didn't like it and by the looks of it he won't be trying it again. Countless other sim racers on YT have done nothing but praise AMS2 and remarked how much it's improved. If his fans still won't touch it after 1.4 then they never will.

GMT is a confusing time zone to use due to the fact that some people treat it like UK winter time with “summer time” being BST (which is GMT+1) and others treat it like UK time all year around. So saying 15:00 GMT can be understood as 15:00 or 16:00 UK time.

UTC is better suited for release times for this particular reason.

I could not agree more with you! It is such a kick in the balls when you realize that in VR you are stuck to dry&day condition. Or you have to change the grx-settings all the time or have to make a huge visual downgrade in general. This bug also made me love and hate PC2 and I was soooooo frustrated that Reza did not fix it.

And what makes me furios is that Reza is not implementing FSR2.0 in the game. AFAIK it should not be that hard, right? I mean if a modder can take the code and make a mod a f..king studio should manage that too....

I would like to know how many VR players feel the same?

"This bug also made me love and hate PC2 and I was soooooo frustrated that Reza did not fix it."

It's not a bug. It's just heavy in terms of graphics calculations. Sure some optimisation can be done but don't expect miracles. VR still requires heavy duty components to be able to handle all kinds of situations.

"And what makes me furios is that Reza is not implementing FSR2.0 in the game. AFAIK it should not be that hard, right?"

Injecting code through a DLL isn't the same as natively supporting a graphics feature. The Madness Engine has all kinds of complexities and hardcoded things. It requires time to fiddle around and change. Time that you've seen hasn't been available over the last few months. Your priorities aren't the same as the team's and it's fine, but if you're furious about it then you're just not looking at the bigger picture here.

Dificult to be be driving the beta and having to keep your mouth shut, but 1.4 is really worth looking forward to i have to say.

Credit where it's due, AMS2 is taking a big step forward here. :)

Perhaps my choosen words gave a wrong impression. I don't whant to be a smug about it. But there should have been some work in this field. I mean ACC has the ability to choose the number of cars to display. A clever feature I think. And I'm far from beeing a programmer but all the time I read about FSR 2.0 it is mentiond that if a engine is capable of implementing it that it does not need that much time and work. Also my PC has a 3090 and a 5900x. It should be possible for a game to phush stabel 60 FPS in VR with this gear. But it does not with any settings that make sens in the night with rain.

And yes, behind my anger about this is my frustration about feeling helpless that I can not change that or that ther is no workaround for this. AMS2 is an awsome game that I would love to play more. But it feels like a carrot on a stick situation for me as long as VR is not fully usable in all conditions. That simply keeps me from truly enjoying the game.
