Is there any plan to have a next Season Pass (2023-24 maybe)?

 

Think they said they wouldn’t. Don’t remember if it was due to economics.

 

More due to the fact that they know they can't reliably predict when and what will come out, and communication around the first season pass hurt the game quite a bit, because you were expected to pay 100 Euros for unknown content that then had to be delayed several times (and, for some items, is still not out).

In order to avoid situations like that, they chose not to do another season pass.

I'll buy anything they put out. I'd even buy in advance, knowing about missed deadlines as I know the quality is there. When does this update hit steam?

 

Yeah, pretty much the same for me. I'm planning to buy all their future releases.

Renato emphasized many times that AMS2 is a long-term project, that's why i though they'd be planning to have a follow-up season pass.

Now that I think about it, is AMS 2 the first sim/racing game to have the C8 Z06? I usually dont care much about road cars but I just watched the Doug DeMuro review on it these days, so I'm kind of excited for it.

 

Let´s talk about that when the current one has been fulfilled.

 

Renato said there probably won't be another season pass, there will be more DLCs once the season pass is finished but won't be available in a big yearly pack.

 

I think that's mainly because it's difficult to manage expectations a full two years out. Given how chaotic things have been since 2020, I can't blame them.

On to the less important stuff...

Street supercars: not my cup of tea, glad to see them released though.

80s F1 Content: not my cup of tea but very happy to see it. Renaming it 'pt1' is an interesting move, I can't imagine there are that many other cars for a Pt2 of this theme! Will contemplate buying this one for sure, even though 80s single-seaters I find super ugly I'm tempted for the sounds alone.

80s circuits: really looking forward to these and some quite left-field picks, Bathurst came out of nowhere! The immersion these bring, especially for the matching cars like the 80s Group C, is immeasurably improved - will pick this up the second it's available. Great that it's 'pt1' as I really hope there may be some 70s and 90s variants of various circuits in future; pump these out and I'll happily throw money at them!

1971 Nurburgring: thanks for the update; can't wait for this one, very much my most anticipated piece of content personally. Fingers crossed that the 'endurance content' for next year may include some nice 70s tin tops to match the Porsche!

Nissans: my number one 'hope' each month content-wise is expanding my favourite categories and you've done it three times over here! Making the Group C grid up to 3 is very, very much appreciated and fingers crossed at least one more finds its way in next year (I assume Jag XJR9 is unlikely but c'mon AMR-1). Really looking forward to adding this beast to the grid. Same with the GT1 and being able to race the R390 in a proper series like it never got to in real life.


Also very excited to hear about the 6th track being in development for Q1 and the endurance focus for '23. The 'adrenaline' pack doesn't pump my blood at all, but mid-race saves, AI driver swapping and any endurance content, be it set in France or anywhere else, will be right up my street and instantly added to my account!

And, as always, the improvements to the AI, damage and other features is excellent, can't wait to try those out!

 

I have a quote from my good friend Raf, the person who convinced me to first take the plunge into AMS 2

This quote fits my overall thoughts about AMS 2 and more specifically this update so perfectly. Well done guys for real.

 

Who cares, this season pass was investment of my life. It's already so awesome.

I know, but we need it. New season pass is the best thing for players.

 

Or people buy the dlc they want and they add a Bundle later for cheaper
