Yes giving over estimates works, an experienced team knows the situation well enough, if it was a inexperienced one I’d agree.
you don’t give a one week time frame unless you are pretty sure you can do it, and by their own admission it wasn’t far off, so yes an over estimate in this situation would’ve worked a treat.
The team would be less tired and stressed, because they wouldn’t be trying to hit a self imposed deadline and customers wouldn’t be disappointed and would be elated if it was a week earlier than stated.

For something to pass the wait time BeamNG makes for a pretty snazzy LeMons simulator honestly, the versatility in customisation means you can make the junker of your dreams (the racing AI kinda blows but it's not like it's exactly pro-tier racing eitherway)

He’s not disappointed, just stating how the disappointment to some could have been mitigated.

    but yes you are correct.
And as you stated you know first hand the situation, where’s others don’t even have the option to become club members and find out.

Game development isn't as easy as some of you assume it to be. You can't predict when you'll get bugs that delay a stable update. Fix one bug, more come up. And if you do try to predict a bug at every crossroads, then you can't even give a vague idea of when the update is stable enough for your customers. It's a lose-lose being that paranoid.

Also, don't move the goalposts from "They shouldn't have given us a date..." (which wasn't even specific) to, "Well if they just tested everything first..." What do you think they've been doing for the past month? Just sitting around?

Bugs happen in game development. You'll get your virtual cars and track soon enough, the game isn't going anywhere. If anything it's just two extra days before it's stable.

I think the dev update should be posted when the game is ready for release. Wait a few days to tidy up minor things and then release the build. That would put an end to this constant cycle of missed self imposed deadlines.

It's just good manners to not go linking stuff that shouldn't be there in the 1st place, be a good chap and remove the link 'eh.

    For every person claiming they
What was said again in the official dev update? To refresh your memory and that of other people claiming that Reiza haven't kept there promise or should learn not to do so, here is what they wrote
In other words, planning something doesn't mean it's set in stone. Reiza did everything good in their initial communication

Great point. I can see that title being fun for creating that clunker scenario and crashing them can be very entertaining to boot. May also provide an outlet to release some of the angst resulting from the extended wait for the new AMS2 content. :)

The "beta police" are already on to him...
Maybe this is one of the downsides of letting more people into the beta program.

Thanks but aouch for the No media release. I like to see the video. But I will not brake the trust with Reiza if a day , I will become a beta tester.

IMHO today will be the end of any remote possibility of the beta being opened again. There's always those who ruin it for others, blame them.
