    Firstly Merry Christmas ALL!

I actually found (and its been stated many times on these forums) that the problem with racing at night is not how many visible cars there are in front. In fact , the worst performance at night is when you are LEADING the pack with no-one in front but loads of cars closely following. Its the cars BEHIND you and their headlights that cause the problem. If I actually start at the back of the same pack, the performance is absolutely fine despite seeing the entire pack of cars in front of me. So I don't think this new option will make much difference personally (at least according to my testing.. and I did loads of it).

Also, with all the shader improvements (including sparks), I hope they are tested to be compatible with VR. Mono shaders make VR unpleasant (eg the current sparks).

Other than that, the LM news is fantastic and I will certainly be buying both packs. 2024 looks like another amazing year too.

BTW. I assumed when Renato mentioned "Latin" he meant South America.. Not Italy (Although one can hope I guess).

More circuits is great news. I really wish CART could get a few more circuits. I think the series is incredible but not exploited enough. Tracks like Detroit, Long Beach, Surfers Paradise, Toronto, Portland, Miami would take the CART series to another level. In addition, these circuits would also complete classes like Indycar, SuperV8, IMSA, etc.
Edit : Merry Christmas to you and Reiza team

So grateful that they're removing the bloom affect from the dash display. Night time races were hard in VR because of the glare from that display was soooo bright.

Congratulations on the most successful year of Automobilista 2, seeing the game gather bigger numbers and higher praise not just within this community but within the sim racing one as well is I'm sure a very rewarding achievement, you should be proud of the work you have done with this game! It has come leaps and bounds from when I started playing years ago, and I hope work continues in this title which has a very bright future ahead. Enjoy your vacations everyone, and thank you for this end of the year gift!

Yes, this was one of the comments that stood out for me, it's a very strong hint that we'll be getting Sebring, one of my favourite race tracks. Can't wait.

Another big piece of news was adding the feature to choose the number of visible vehicles at night to boost performance. This fantastic sim is getting better and better. Great work, guys.

This one id prefer as the lmp1 model as they weren’t even hiding that that thing was a prototype disguised as a gt like Mercedes and Porsche did

    Don’t quote me . But …
from what I’ve heard from the big guy, it was found to be not so much the headlights you see, and how they effect you , but the amount of reflection sources by other cars , that generally you don’t see the visuals of . But they are still happening.

Did you read the part that you will be able to manage content? This might solve your issue

With the '98 cars both Porsche and Mercedes didn't try to hide it anymore either to be fair, though it would probably worsen the balance issues in the class if it were to come in the GT1 class.

But.. If I start at the front of the pack... the performance is far worse than if I start at the back.. YET.. the "maximum visible cars" surely will only effect those cars visible in front of me.. which in my case is not the issue. Anyway, time will tell and tbh, with my 4090, its only a problem at the very start into turn 1, then its 90fps in VR (Quest 3) thereafter in any conditions.

Can anyone in the "AMS2 Club" indicate whether or not the sparks are now fixed in VR?
