Had no choice but to let the Bug Splat update finish its install. Currently waiting for the hot-fix to show up.

 

Validated integrity, but that didn't help. Guess we have to wait now

I am an IT engineer, if you put windows on compatibility with windows 8 it WORKS.

Well, my agenda for 2024 officially has 51 weeks now, week 1 is spoken for.

Well done reiza. Just done a quick hour as i have people coming over tonight and i nearly couldn't pull myself away. What a fantastic edition to what is quickly becoming the only sim title that matters

 

Lol, Good grief can we just let people express their excitement for the update. Dev said it might be before the end of the year, so people are anxious to get it, big deal. This silly bickering between two factions, one proudly saying ‘take all the time you want!’ Vs the other anxiously asking ‘is it still gonna happen this weekend?’.

Yes, patience is a virtue, yes you don’t care how long it takes….we get it. No need to talk down to people who are more anxious and excited to get their hands on the update than you. That doesn’t mean they ‘don’t have a life’ , it doesn’t mean they’re ‘a baby without a toy’, it doesn’t mean they think the Devs aren’t human beings with families. We talk about a toxic forum, well talking to members like this isn’t helping either. Jeeesh

 

Addendum: after some laps in MP on Le Man in the new BMW M4 GT3 I must note that the Gen2 GT3 class also has that "outerworldly" behaviour of overcoming understeer by just reducing TC, flooring the pedal and turning the wheel more.

 

Really otherwordly that if you reduce TC you get more oversteer (or less understeer) on gas...

I think the new content is spectacularly well done. Modeling, features, visuals...
Can't praise it enough, superb effort!
This update and the 1.5.3 before that are just beyond imo.
Can you imagine for somebody to get into the title just now? Buy the base game at discount, then maybe add the 2 recent DLC, how's that for a value proposition?

I wouldn’t think so since Renato releases it when an update is expected and the beta hasn’t been updated in a little while

 

I’m just hoping for some real VR fixes like the headlights from a car behind you is unrealistically lighting up my dashboard. That should be an easy fix. It’s a bug taken over from project cars 2. And performance improvements by only rendering light of perhaps 1 or 2 cars behind you. The limit on number of visible cars setting also takes into account cars in front of you, that, for me has no effect on performance and is immersion breaking, or it’s broken as when you overtake come cars, no new cars are rendered in front of you. It should only limit the cars behind you.

Also, Snow!

 

I find it makes absolutely ZERO difference with performance whether there are 5 or 25 cars ahead of me, and having cars disappear ahead ruins all immersion. It should really be focused on just having less cars rendered in the rear, or if need be have them as separate sliders because i want only cars behind me to be max 3 or 4, not 20.

Also with the headlights in the front and also rear. Behind me max 4 and in front maybe 8 or 10 max.It would drastically improve performance for night races.
