It makes me wonder how after EVERY update from Reiza some folks are expecting EVERYTHING to be completed and bug-free

    o_O

If I were him with that crazy high speed shaking (never seen that myself) I would delete (or move outside the My documents folder), all my setups to be sure. The side-by-side bouncing at extremely low speed or while being stopped is a completely different problem. Only happens with some open wheelers.

Amazing work Reiza, and I for one am hugely excited about the future of this sim. Considering the global and local situation, what you are managing to do is quite simply astonishing and a tribute to the people you have working for you.

Ref the Ginetta G40- If you lock the front tyres (evidenced by flat spots and localised temp peaks on the contact patch) there is still a lot of steering available. If I lock the front tyres irl I tend to go straight on, despite steering inputs.. at some point this behaviour might need to be looked at..

Just finished testing that combo (F Classic at Estoril with 25 AI cars first and 20 AI cars afterwards) and I can confirm my experience is normal. The car doesn't shake any differently from the usual typical AMS2 way. FFB does not give any strange signs or feeling of shaking.... Something should be off locally.

Expecting everything to be completed and/or bug-free is not realistic. However the game has been launched for almost an year and the experience with it is quite a hit or miss.
    1. Single player/AI: I've seen reports of people enjoying the AI to the max, yet I can't race offline because AI is always either very off pace even at the strongest level or downright look like cheating, I've not found a middle ground. If anyone is having fun with open wheelers vs the AI, please share with me your settings!
    2. Multiplayer: random disconnects, CTDs while fiddling with pit strategies, UI issues in server browsing list, ghost collisions, cars wobbling, not synced start lights, wrong race results, there is not a robust and useful server features such as restart session, rearrange grid, etc... we also have this weird time limitation to join a server, and the funniest issue I've seen that happened in a league: pole position was sitting 8 cars of distance in front of everyone else;
    3. Not so important, but issues nonetheless: UI font is ugly and inconsistent, ICM is a huge pain in the ass, AI often get repeated liveries when there are enough available for everyone, openwheeler camber is visually wrong, open wheelers randomly shake heavily when standing still, poor replay features, very few camera options for replay and broadcasting, no live replay...
Remember, its been almost a year since the launch. The game has improved quite a lot since then, and I'm sure it will get even better over the time. However it is still looking so far from providing me a complete experience either in single player or multiplayer. Every single race I do I find myself or someone else struggling with a bug or a lack of a common feature that would otherwise make life better.

I did that test also, I tried all classic Formula cars with no change to all other movements.
A comment earlier mentioned maybe it's the non legacy movement that may be an issue. I use legacy mode 0 and it's good.
Did you use legacy or non legacy mode?

The high speed wobble and brake wobble (and some reeeaaally strange other things) were also a problem with the tire, like the game-ish pillow like behaviour on steering and also likely the need to turn the wheel miles, before the front was responding sufficiently. I'm also amazed, what Reiza has done to the F-Classic, i'm not even sure, which one of them i would favourize now, because they all show much depth and driveability.

    Dear Reiza team,

First of all, thank you very much for this wonderful work that you are doing and what we can look forward to. Thank-you!

But we have to talk honestly!
Question, why more and more content and this time investment when essential things don't really work?

Here in Germany, I allow myself to promise Europe, thousands of simulation fans are waiting for 3 essential things!

    1. A stable and league-compatible multi-player system on a server basis. With an appealing and easily configurable UI for the admin.

    2. On a reasonably good TV overlay tool, for real league streaming with different camera settings.

    3. Suitable for leagues on a deeper, better adjustable weather system. With more adjustable settings for random, realistic weather within an online league Racing weekend.

Please please, take note of the fact that there are definitely hundreds of leagues waiting here to seriously use this Sim for real E-Sports league races.

But then you shouldn't invest more time in content, but finally make the existing one league-day in a timely manner.

Please listen to us and bring us a working TV overlay and more camera settings for at least the next few weeks. As well as a reliable MP system and while you're already doing it ... please work on the shaky, Jitter vehicle movements in the MP, it looks unnatural.

In great hope and confidence that I will soon be able to do real AMS2 E-Sport racing in leagues here in GER, I say thank you, dear Reiza team, and go forward! :)

PS: I say sorry for the definitely bad Google translation!

The FClassic G3M1 (V12) has a weird tendency for the rear to want to kick out in unexpected places (like during corner entry). It is noticeable in the mid-speed corners at Spa, where you try to enter the corner and the rear suddenly kicks out and you get overrotation that almost sends the car into the grass, then the rear grips, then overrotates again. Makes for a very unpleasant and difficult driving experience. The V8 is similar but not as bad. The V10 seems fine. Maybe increasing rear downforce of reducing front downforce can help, the default is 18/4 or something very lopsided like that.

Because different team members are good at working on different things. You can't put everyone working on the same thing. That isn't how it works.

You don't build a house by having everyone building foundations, then prepping the electric wiring or doing the waterwork installs or even doing the finishing touches. These are all tasks that are accomplished by people with different qualifications and the same goes for making a game. Just because they work in a "computer environment" doesn't make them all good at doing the same thing.

The reason I am highlighting this is because that means that new content, graphic design, fixes, new mechanisms and improvements to systems all happen at the same time, because each team member focuses on a different area they are skilled at. This is a small team after all. So while, yes, things are taking time to get added and fixed, they are coming at the same speed as new content. It is how the team works and it works for them.

I honestly don't believe this to be true, firstly let me say I don't really have an issue with the approach that Reiza are taking in terms of content releases running in tandem with bug fixes. That is a pretty standard approach. I do feel like at this point in time fixes and quality of life upgrades should and do appear to be taking centre stage. That's all good.

Back to the other thing though, this idea that members of a team only work on very specific and singular areas of a project is nonsense, even more so when a team is small and a project large. On a small team you don't hire someone who can do just one thing. They may be more proficient at one thing but, generally as teams get smaller in complex projects, particularly in game design and content creation, you find more generalists and jack of all trades than specialists. The notion that someone who works primarily on vehicle/track modeling or asset creation wouldn't have the skillset to work on some UI elements or maybe have the skills to script an internal tool just isn't a thing, if that's the way your business is operating, you're doing something wrong.

The reason people don't get moved from one area to the other, is because there's a plan, a timeline and a workload in place. Commitments are made and if you start pulling people from one area to work on another whenever one group of users decide you should you will chase your tail forever. It's just not practical. Sorry, it's just I see this idea thrown around a lot and it's a nice simple explanation for why a team won't/can't change direction on a whim, but it's not accurate. If anything its more likely that someone who might be able to work on audio or ui for example is actually focused on another area currently.

Anyway as I said I don't have an issue with the way Reiza are doing things, sure there are areas I would like to see improved over the addition of new content but whatever, they are pumping out the updates and fixes at a solid rate. Much more so than any other sim title I can think of in recent memory.

No, it's Aperture Science property
It isn't. (It's kind of common sense, that network stuff and content creation is not the most similar field)

can we get a throttle/brake inputs visualization in the main hud? Don’t care if it would be same as pc2. Just this is really needed to track someone’s inputs.
