Reiza had to pay for the Nords scan data twice. I'm outraged on their behalf! :)

AMS2 is a great sim. Keep up the good work Reiza!

Comparing Apples to Oranges is never useful. We can easily compare Apples to Apples in this case, where it is easy to see Reiza DLC is not only competitively priced compared to other sims but actually a real bargain.

Also when it comes to tracks it is very easy to join a server or grab a friend and create a server using tracks that you don't own. You can in the pre made custom championships race on the tracks we don't own. I personally find this a fantastic and generous feature of AMS2.

Another bonus is that it is never that long after a release that Reiza offers a decent saving on the newer DLCs via steam sales. With many other games dlc it is usually more than a year from release before we see even a 10% saving.

I think that once the tourist version of the ring is released there will be plenty of servers running it, and we will see a good amount of people using them on a regular basis. It would be nice to see a pack of cars specifically made for this purpose, I am certain it would be extremely popular, and bring a lot of new players to the game.

Least complicated way is to wait for EP3 to be released and then buying the bundle.

When you buy it before EP3 release, you have to put the bundle into your cart again after EP3 release to get the EP3 item added to that bunch aswell (the other packs you already own will be left out, so you don't need to purchase them again).

The store system has some annoying limitations

Hi Renato, I've been asked but you haven't answered. Will the two missing tracks and the prototype version of the Lijier championship be coming? That would be fantastic.

Thank you very much, Team Reiza! All updates are welcome!

I'll just say that it's a shame we still don't have the version of the Nurburgring used by F1 between 1984 and 1994, including the Castrol chicane.
Today, there is a version with that chicane in AMS2, but the circuit returns to the Kurzanbindung, meaning we miss the entire Dunlop-Kehre hairpin section.
Having the version used by F1 between 1984 and 1994 is definitely already "drawn up"; it would just be a matter of adding it to the list of options.
If I'm wrong in my approach, please let me know.

I'd like to take this opportunity to congratulate the Reiza team, who are doing an extraordinary job, and as an Argentine, I'm proud that this is a product developed in South America by our Brazilian brothers!

The cars are great, I will take the dlc.

The new Nordschleife doesn t interest me at all, I won t take it.
I would prefer to have more F1 tracks.

I'm a simple man. I see Reiza release paid DLC and I buy. In the world of sim racing it's rare to see this much quality/value for such an affordable price. As long as Reiza continues to support their game, I will continue to support Reiza. Thanks for all the hard work!

I am a bit bummed that it looks as though we won't be getting any official THOR (The Heart of Racing) liveries for the Aston Martin car's, but at least we are getting the cars regardless. Congrats to Reiza, and I look forward to their release sometime today! :)

The super trucks are a lot of fun and a unique driving experience, definitely worth the price imo.

I've bought AMS2 earlier this year and it has been an incredible experience. For sure some problems here and there, but the joy me and my friends are having make every cent worth it. For some weeks I've been keeping an eye on this forum and today decided to join.

Thank you Reiza for everything, let's go!

I am not comparing this DLC to any other sim. I am asking myself, the community, Reiza, what is the point or reason to fundamentally update/redo an existing track that apparently costs so much money they have to sell it once again? And how are Reiza and the hardcore fans surprised that some people are not head over heels about the idea? Y'all saying "Nordschleife is such a big track", well why not make 4 regular tracks for the amount of work if we already have a decent enough Nordschleife in the sim. I bet you all have 4 tracks that you would love to see that aren't in the sim. I don't care about the price, I care about the idea and the precedent.

Tourist version would need a lot of road cars. With the pace we are getting new content it's not going to rival AC and ACE. AMS2 should keep its focus on race cars anyways in my opinion.

Edit: That Renato post quoted above does give some insight... maybe put it in the official communication?

They're not actually selling it again though, they're updating the 2020 version for all existing owners of the track for no additional cost. It's merely the 2025 layout changes which you need to buy again. but the full laser scan will also be updated to the 2020 version.

    My speculation (all of it):

    Option A. Continue selling Nurburgring
    1) To continue selling Nurburgring, they had to extend the contract.
    2) Extension of contract costs money.
    3) To recover the contract extension cost, some of it will be from sale of existing Nurburgring pack, which is by now owned by a lot of people and in large part bought at a heavy discount by those who still don't own it. Additional proceeds will have to be received to cover the contract extension from sale of 2025 version.
    4) Technicality: First the 2020 version is heavily updated and then the 2025 version is created out of the 2020 updated track with additional numerous updates. This is an efficient way to bring value to the existing Nurburgring pack, instead of leaving it as it is.

Option B. Stop selling Nurburgring and develop 4 new tracks.
    1) Decide not to use money to extend Nurburgring contract
    2) Use the money to buy 4 other track licenses
    3) Nurburgring falls out of AMS2 DLC list, forever separating the community into the ones who have it and who don't have it.
    4) 4 new tracks are released.

Having up to date / more relevant incarnation of such high profile track creates a lot of hype and relevance among sim racing fans, I think it was a smart move even though I would love to see more locations/tracks, I still think it’s worth it. I was actually just there irl couple of weeks ago and just when I got back, I heard about this upcoming version and soon after was able to try it in beta and it definitely felt like it is now driving there irl compared to the 2020 version.

My slight problem with this license talk is that I expect it to be the same with all high profile tracks. By that logic no new updated Silverstone, Monza, Barcelona, Daytona, etc. DLC? They all get removed? No. Of course we don't have access to the numbers, hard to give an educated opinion.
