There is a mesh from PC2 , but Reiza alwais said the don't use PC2 tracks.
They cannot get lidar or other scan data w/o a license, so they'll have to put much extra work in it.
Give them 50k to 100k$ and we will see it for christmas

Well, in France there’s nothing preventing you from recording video/data as long as the privacy of people is preserved

One thing i do hope is that changing from road to oval setups happens within the tuning menu, and not the weird garage menu like in rf2

That would probably be the best way to do it, but honestly I'd take anything that isn't having 2 seperate classes (like how PC2 did it) for the sake of being able to run full unbroken championships

 

Exactly, road and oval variants of the dw12 in pc2 was annoying and i guess it would break the custom championships for anyone simulating a cart season with both ovals and tracks with right turns

 

How will that work for the AI? How will you force them to use the correct version of the car?

 

They'll probably be adding a few more traits to the AI for ovals. Who knows, maybe they'll add a way to use multiple cars in a season?

I think it could have an auto mode like tyre compound, and every track has a road/short oval/speedway flag

 

On another note, would if front wing adjustments in pitstops be possible? I know it's nitpicking, but it's a real strategy element of a lot of open wheel racing. I've had a few long races where I wished I could've added/removed a turn of wing or so.

 

The PC2 campaign was smart enough to put the entire field in oval cars for oval races and in road cars for road/street courses. The engine supports it. I'm sure Reiza will be able to figure it out.

 

True, but in PCars2 custom races against AI there would be a mix of AI drivers using road course and oval spec cars even though the race was at a road course, real immersion breaker imo. Hopefully Reiza will have that sorted out whenever the oval DLC is released.
