Beta participation was for early backers. Now it's a closed thing and cannot be joined anymore.

 

I wish I was there...
When the next major project starts I will certainly be in if it opens another backing campaign.

 

Not really a big content drop, but a big update with lots of significant changes, that's why Reiza is taking their time testing and fixing things before making any announcements.

Back in the AMS1 days you could get access to the AMS1 beta & beta forum by buying AMS1 + season pass (that's how I got access to beta forum).
For those who bought AMS2 in early access they got access to AMS2 beta and beta forum.
Afaik there's no way to get access to AMS2 beta or beta forum at the moment.

 

I believe if we will hear the update today, it will be between 16 and 17 cest. This is because the past ones have been posted at this time frame. Maybe later, but I believe this could be one of the most plausible options. They have though posted once past 19 cest which means we have to wait. Don’t know if they announce updates on weekends

 

Right you are sir but it still seems off in AMS2. If I take The Mclaren 720s out at Donnington in the wet in RF2 or ACC with track temps at around 20oc (which i can do now because RF2 finally has working track temps) the rears keep at around the mid 40's. Yet in AMS2 I struggle to keep them in the mid 30's, and thats with the track temp at 28oc! So the track is hotter yet the results are still substancially colder tires. Dunno which sims doing it best, but its a big difference!

 

Having said that its not the major part of the issue as they still grip ok'ish. The main problem is the soft slicks grip falling off like a switch in the heat, they seem to maintain exageratedly high temps aswell

 

The whole tire thermal model setting is going to undergo review according to latest developer's log, so things are almost surely going to change in a not distant future I would say.

Well, it could of course just be me. I think (and don't take this as gospel, but it seems to be working), i think ive solved the problem with the Mclaren loosing its back end when the tires get hot. I reduced engine breaking substantially (as it was generally at low speed around the hairpins it was happening), now the rears dont seem to be getting as hot, and its not stepping out like a switch has been flipped whilst slowing down under breaking and downchanging. This engine breaking setting is not an adjustible setting in either ACC or RF2 and its the only thing id not tried until today, so it kinda makes sense. But then again, I could be wrong!

 

Also, more TC helps with tire temps as well.
