Forgot to say it but thank you so much for the transparent halo. Looking forward to it. It wasn't too bad in the Gen2, but the Gen1 halo felt like it was 4 feet wide.

If the first ‘historic’ Safety Car (assuming this will be coming at some point) isn’t THAT Fiat Tempra, I’d be very surprised…

Eh, not related to AMS2, but since the SC talk came up: we often see F1 drivers complaining the SC is driving too slow. Is there any reason that not commercial/historic/cultural for not using Prototypes instead of the laggy-ish tintops?

I think there is enough space to cram in all the needed comms and stuff for Mayländer, no?

I could imagine, driving a prototype on these low safety car speeds would make the tires of it acting awfully to start with due to low temps and they're also not the best cars on mechanical low speed behaviour. And it's quite an overkill of fincancial investment aswell. :D

There are probably 100 different other reasons.

Safety car phase is also not designed to drive prototype speeds and on the limit such a safety car isn't quite the slowest either, especially the one used in F1.

Mercedes pay to have the SC in F1.

I would like to have tracks like sepang, magny course, gp of turkey... old European tracks... I'm not a fan of dirt tracks.

If I understand that correctly, this'll be six DLCs, three of which on the same location ... that sounds like a lot. I hope Reiza considers putting out a bundle; otherwise prices are quickly going to go in the rF2 direction.

I would say you get more for the same price with AMS2.

Tbh honest I'm more excited for the historic versions, especially for the 70s stuff. However the modern version + cars will be great as well.

My hope is that the DLC situation will be something like
-Le Mans DLC, featuring modern + classic versions (presumably a similar price to the other premium tracks)
-Endurance DLC(s?), adding the cars, possibly around Brazilian GPL/Supercars price, maybe more
-Either adding the historic cars in further parts of the Historic Track DLC ala Racin' USA or adding them to the Endurance DLC

I do expect at least some free content to be added given Reiza just is like that, which I'd assume would be either some of the content that doesn't quite fit in the historic or modern niche, such as 90s-2000s endurance, which was mentioned or a few cars to sample test the DLC content- eg, if the 70s prototype class is a multi-car deal then a generic/licensed car or 2 could be free to see what they're like and sway some buyers

People tend to forget the safety car is there to protect marshals, corner workers, EMS, and then the drivers. Sure, going significantly under the limit is safer in comparison to 300kph down a straight, but 150-200kph is still enough to seriously harm anyone not in a carbon fiber box.

I do understand that no developer in their right mind can dish out LMDh cars, GT3's and 70's and 90's prototypes for free - and to put them all in the same DLC would mean to have a 40 euro one. But especially 70's, 90's and nowaday's Le Mans as separate DLC sound a little bit fragmented.

I heard someone say something similar once the oval content released, saying "Enough ovals, more road courses" ... so you want the devs to just introduce a concept and IMMEDIATELY drop it ?? Surprise but some dlc might just not be for you. If the devs want to do dirt and add more to it, then they should do it. That doesn't mean other content will be ignored. I also want more ovals to be added because only 4 right now feels like a gimmick more than anything.

Well I'm going to put out these thoughts about the lemans DLC

We likely will have more GTP than Hypercar (for anyone who actually cares about the difference) because of the MSG game being the offical game of WEC.

Also, Porsche, GM, and BMW might as well be assured in at this point, as they are the backbone of AMS 2 content.

The only 3 GTE cars we don't have from this year's 2023 running of lemans are the Aston Martin, Ferrari, and the Garage 56 Camaro (which would also cover the Nascar itch)

There is also 2023-2024 spec GT3 cars on the way (From who, I have no idea)

We still don't know what happened to the 2nd DPI or of its even coming at this point. (Same could be said for the GT3 Aston Martin)
