If it's the only layout we would get without chicanes on the Hunaudieres, that's a resounding NO from me.

Mirrors not right ate a nightmare in online races hope they’ll be fixed fairly swiftly
They shouldn’t have been released in a broken state

That is true, but I want a simple Le Mans layout

Im thinking reiza’s 3 layouts should include the 1971 layout with maison blanche, 1989 layout without mulsanne chicanes and with porsche curves, and modern layout

I do agree with this! But Reiza's announcement stated a 70s, a 90s and current layout.

If it depended on me, I would push a 1986 layout. This year features the following combination, going around the track in order:

Original paddock, pit entry and exit lanes (new ones were built for 1991)
No Dunlop Chicane (was installed the following year)
No Chapelle esses (appeared in 2002)
Fast Tertre Rouge (this way since 1979, it got some reprofiles but its spirit has stayed the same)
No chicanes at Hunaudieres (installed in 1990)
Right kink in the braking for Mulsanne (appeared this year, as a roundabout was placed at the original Mulsanne corner between 1985 and 1986 races, so the course needed altering)
Full Porsche Corners (installed in 1972)
Double Ford Chicanes (also in 1972)

This is why, if only a 70s and 90s options are available, I would vote for a 1979 for 70s, as it features all the above except the kink braking into Mulsanne. For the 90s, since 1991 the track was very much the same, with the Dunlop chicane made longer in 1997. So anything 91-99 is fine on my books.

This update deserves nothing less than a sweet 1.5 development update video voiced by @steelreserv. :)
I always come back to the 1.4 video to see some nice camera shots made for it.
I wish Reiza put some time into upgrading the replay system and a free camera tool allowing content creators to make such nice videos.

So there is a limited free cam system using the num pad and wasd keys. I can't remember where exactly it was mentioned, but it allows you to get some alternative onboard angles.

I used this feature in my Copa Firma video trailer, but the camera is always bound to the car. Also managed to make some aerial shots in a pretty hacky way.
I wish there was a free camera tool where we could fly through the track with some smoothness like piloting a drone... Maybe with some DoF adjustment to create nice cinematic shots.

This. The cars for a 1971 LM layout would fit Spa 70, Monza 71 and the Ring 71 as well. I prefer when things are not too much all over the place, and this way you could do a decent 1971 WSC. And then there's the Steve McQueen factor.

LM 1989 would suit the Group C cars currently in the game, with the Chevy as a joker, and would be an appropriate way to pay tribute to the last year with the uninterrupted straight.

    Exactly!!!!

Plus the 1989 version would be the a good mix of old and new track.

Also, in 1988 the Le Mans speed record was set.

Guess it's a gonna be tough to wait for Le Mans.
Already impatient and driving prototype stuff all day long:D.
I will be the happiest guy throwing this bunch of cars together with the LMDhs over the 13km holy grail of endurance racing places.

I would prefer the Ferrai 512 M... but I might be a little biased (picture was a birthday gift from my very good friend spottydogRudgey on twitter, same guy who did my profile picture!) IMG_20230107_200457_752.jpg

Gotta agree with you. 917K, 512M and a Coda Lunga would be great.
